Deftones Passenger featuring Maynard James Keenan.
Would love for you to react to this song. Features Chino singing along with Maynard behind a very metal track.

Hey what’s up michael I’m a lifetime member but don’t see where to signify that in my react request, I wanna hear you break down Jake’s solo in empress of organos. Totally insane!! Starting at about the 10min mark.

I saw Adeem the Artist open for Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit a couple months back in Fayetteville, Arkansas. They were a great performer and this song really hit me. It was the stand out moment in their set. I was so happy to see Western AF feature it on their channel and this performance is so great. Watching them perform it solo gives it so much more depth and seeing them take a breath and the angst/pain in their face before that last chorus is so emotional. It’s a fantastic story that rings true for many folks out there, especially those from the south and Midwest.

Hi Michael,

Love everything on here and can't wait to get stuck into more lessons.
Would love it if you could break down this awesome video of Joscho Stephan effortlessly improvising over Mike Dawes in a hotel lobby.

Thanks
J

Jack Barksdale. Remember that name. I'm betting you'll eventually hear this amazing kid play. I had the opportunity to hear him at a small gathering for my wife's friend (a patron of the arts) who asked for music as she is on palliative care (hospice) with stage 4 cancer. She also asked that this event benefit Music Meets Medicine (https://www.musicmeetsmedicine.org/ - an organization brings music to patients who need it most). Anyhow I've included the live streaming link of the entire show, but check out Jack performing "Gone" at 25:30. There are other songs he performs after plus a few other acts. This kid plays like he made a deal at the crossroads. That YouTube link is below but this site won't let me load that one so I've included one above from a jam in Austin.

Proof that sometimes simple is best. Beautiful melody and haunting lyrics

Yes, it's a new video, so has some production.

However, we all know Blackberry Smoke can do it live so maybe something fresh and fun.

I was messing around the main riff seems to be in A minor but would love to get your take on the key center and why this all works!

Hi Michael. This song played randomly on a Spotify playlist. It is the story of my life crystallised into a few minutes and it made me cry. Im sure many will resonate with its message. It's simple but PJ uses interesting chord positions. Please disect it for us.

Been wanting another Lawrence reaction and this just came out.
Not guitar centric like most of the videos you tend to react to, but the talent and arrangement in this is out of this world

I have been following this channel for a while and every time he releases a new video I sit there and watch it in amazement. This musician sounds like if Hendrix and SRV had a kid. Please give this a watch, you won't regret it!

This is an amazing performance from probably one of the greatest touring bands ever assembled. The rhythm section is totally locked in, and we have great organ, sax, and flute solos throughout the song. Guthrie Govan on guitar seals the deal. Would love to hear your take on how all these elements go together to make such a cohesive song.

Angel is a fantastic and incredible player. I’m trying to learn to do 1% of what he does.

Tommy and Billy, a couple of the best in the business, of course I had to post this one. Also under 3 minutes so please enjoy this short and sweet pickin' and grinin' collaboration.

ERRA is a metalcore from Birmingham, Alabama

Snowblood it's what I believe their most famous song and for a good reason, Guitarrist Jesse Cash shows that metal and metalcore with 7 String guitars and low tunings are not only chugs, 0's or blast beats

This is very catchy and groovy, very fun to listen to

I’ve never steered you guys wrong before and this time is no different. I’m a week removed from seeing Doom Flamingo (Kanika Moore on vocals and Umphrey’s bassist) and being a longtime fan of TAUK (particularly Isaac on drums) the TAUK MOORE project is a grand slam. This is power; raw power. Just incredible on every level. Give it a whirl! All the best - Lucky Gallops

These guys are a cool throwback to a bygone era. Check them out!

John McCutcheon delivers an incredibly powerful performance of the song Christmas in the Trenches - an original tune detailing the events of a certain Christmas night during World War 2. The melodic accents he plays between verses are absolutely beautiful.

Just got turned on to Frank Turner - who would have thought punk and country sensibilities could blend this well? A lot of hard-won wisdom in his songs

Hey Mike, this is our bands first open Mic in Northern Va. I started getting into the Dead right around the time you were and my dad who just recently started playing the banjo has been a lifetime fan of them. We watch your videos almost every night and your Youtube Videos and guitar courses have absolutely been a game changer for me especially your Triads course. This is my first totally improvised solo in a live setting and it wouldn't be possible without the techniques I've learned from you. Cheers, and maybe you can make it down from Baltimore for our next one!

Highly recommend this one, he's a good writer with a voice built for country music.

Just when I thought "Devil wears a suit and tie" couldn't get any better, this guy Joshua Quimby comes along and puts his own spin on it. Love it.

Zach Meadows has made a splash in Nashville with the combination of his wonderful lyrics, and hauntingly beautiful voice. Not many, if any, artists have a sound as unique and pure as Zach's!

I know this doesn’t have any guitar parts. However, if you listen to this and don’t feel any emotion you should check your pulse. I have never been a religious man but after listening to this I may have to go to church and it’s not even a gospel song! I tried finding a live version with guitar but the only one I found was an acoustic set on a morning radio show. It was good but I feel this version is better. I just discovered this band tonight and fell down a rabbit hole. I watched an entire concert, during which, the Vocalist (Brandon Coleman) talked about how they recorded the album like artists did in the 1960s. The whole band in a room together. They felt that the energy live on stage should be captured in the recording without the need for modern technology and overproduction. Let me tell you, I listened to that album and they are absolute correct. It has a soul that very few albums ,if any, have today.
