I know you love this duo. This won't disappoint.
I think this guys style one of the most unique ones out there. It is also so emotionally heavy that just creates a gut reaction from me like nothing else.
G'day Michael,
Can't seem to find any reviews for Birelli yet. If you watch this, you'll see why I'm surprised.
Thanks again for all you do for this community.
Jimmy
Doyleβs technique is wild. Great song and groove.
Never say never?! 3 Inches of Blood is coming back for two shows in Vancouver in January 2024! If I had to pick one song from their catalog to listen to for the rest of my life it'd be this one. Twin guitar attack from Shustin Hagblark plus the organ riffs! It can't be beat! Ash is the one of the tightest drummers out there.
I've seen Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer... but these guys get me in the feels more than any of them.
Ciao All
During my last trip to Italy I had the privilege of traveling with my Cuz Daniele Mazzoni to one of his gigs with the The Acusticom band a tribute band to Southern Rock and Country Music the gig was at Italian/Swiss Border in Osco. Allora man was I in for a treat watch the video and you'll see why! Let me know if that's a simple https://www.facebook.com/TheAcusticom
Please Review!
I think this guys song writing skills are some of the best Iβve ever heard. As a person who has had some pretty rough times with depression thereβs something about sad, relatable songs that make the world seem like youβre not alone with your feelings. And this guy Nails it every time every time I hear one of his songs it seems the songs were meant to be heard by people, rather than just thoughts that rhyme written on paper with some sounds behind it.
I think you would really appreciate his writing and he plays finger style while singing which in my opinion is pretty challenging to do.
P.S. thanks for being such a positive and insightful person. Your videos got me to pick up my guitar again 4 years ago and I havenβt put it down since. Me and my wife homeschool our kids we make music a hung part of life for them and they enjoy your videos as well!
DRUMS! This guy has taken the drum world by storm through creativity and ridiculous work ethic. If you like drums, heck if you like music, do yourself a favor and check out El Estepario Siberiano.
Arlo McKinley's music is about as authentic as it gets. You can feel the pain, struggle, and heart that he does through his slow strums and raw vocals. He's really good at making you feel his music.
I think this song is fantastic. Played simply, sung beautifully, and with interesting chord shapes. I've run across a couple of Jensen songs lately, and they're all fantastic. I'm fascinated with how simple the guitar is .., and how familiar all of this sounds.. but also how raw and new it sounds. I think, writing songs that sound timeless is an art. The build, the modulations, and her incredible vocal tone... all of that is worth talking about.
Please also see: Immune (the best pandemic relationship song I've ever heard) and Wolves, which is INTENSE... like real tears trauma intense.
Incredible performance best from them ive ever seen THIS is the highest level of showmanship you can reach
Iβm sure youβve heard this song by now but this version of what is quickly becoming one of my favorite Tyler Childers songs (that he never released) is extremely moving. Itβs earning a place for me right up there with feathered Indians and shake the frost
Absolutely beautiful.
MICHAEL!!! Please watch this video I promise you will love it, it tells an amazing story just like you love and every time this song comes on in the car it makes me want to pull over and dance in the snow.
Greg Koch plays some of the best slide guitar I have ever heard in my life.
Probably my favorite SRV performance. Just amazing.
I was fortunate enough to see Robert Cray and his band play live this week. He was breathtaking, bringing me to the edge of tears with the emotion in both his singing and playing. I went back and watched the last react video you did of him and thought it might be time to re-visit one of the more under appreciated players out there. He's still out there killing it at age 70!
As a pilot and sailor and tropical inhabitant my love for Jimmy Buffet's song writing and feel good humanism was a natural. The Killers capture that vibe here. RIP Jimmy, may fair winds, clear skies and following seas take you home. Thank you for your work.
Hi Michael. We were on the discord watching this video and the topic came up about open tunings. I donβt ever tune my guitar out of standard, and as far as I can tell neither do you. So Iβm wondering how you would approach a song like this. Thank you for this community and all that you do!
Roy Buchanan just ripping. One of my favorite guitar tones and melodies on any video ever. Would love to see this broken down.
