Absolutely amazing piece of story telling by Hank Williams Jr’s daughter about her maternal grandparents that’s takes you on an emotional journey as you listen

If you want a song to take you on a slow burn ride, this is one to check out. Careful, the lyrics might get you...

I’ve seen Sean play in Philadelphia about a year ago and found out he’s from your neck of the woods. I love his lyrics, there simple but tell a story. He gets a lot of punch out of his chords. I think you’ll like him.

Brian Alexander here - I think you’re going to love the songwriting by this man. He speaks to the heartache of touring but the joy of doing it with the woman you love. Who happens to be the fiddle player in this video. I recently lost my wife, and I cannot make it through a cover of this song without breaking down at the line β€œAt night you sing to parts of me that I haven’t ever seen.”

I’ve loved this band for so long all of their riffs and their songs. I would love to see you react to some of them, I just recently started watching you but you are so sick! Keep it up! This band is rad!!! I think you’ll enjoy

Some of the best Travis picking you will ever see!

Not really guitar-centric but since you did Ray Charles' Slow Blues I felt this one had a shot too. One of the best live performances ever in my opinion. Such a soulful, powerful song. Otis gives it his all! Great concert film footage here too.

Anything from Live at Radio City with Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds would be amazing. I picked Gravedigger because this is one of my all time favorites, but also it has some interesing chords changes and Tim Reynolds does not go "too crazy" where his melodic lines are, I assume, a bit easier to breakdown and learn.
By the way, I am new to GuitarGate after watching countless of your React yt videos and I am loving it so far!

This video is a series of solos (all great) but the one I would really love for you to break down is the first one (up to 06:36) for Black Napkins. It is some of the most relaxed playing I have ever seen which is made all the more remarkable by Frank's blistering speed. In general, it's some amazing rock & roll... stuff, but the solo seems to me beautiful, dark, and complicated while also managing to be light, and airy, and melodic. What I want to know, please, is how does he pull that off. The whole thing bends my mind into a pretzel.

Michael, hey brother! I'm loving the channel. I'm loving the lessons. I've been playing for 30 years, but I stopped "learning" a long time ago. Your lessons got me back in the saddle!
Anyways, I'm hoping one day you'll react to Gillian Welch and David Rawlings. They are incredible Americans duo known for soaring harmonies, and David's iconic guitar style. He's one of those instantly recognizable players with a singular sound. Even his choice of guitar (w/ really high action) is pretty unique. He does some very unique work on the instrument. I'd love to hear you break down what's happening in his solos. It's really stripped down. Two acoustic guitars. Two vocals. Nowhere to hide. It's really veteran stuff.
I was conflicted about which live version to send you. The best live version and sound mix is found here: https://youtu.be/_8VXBMjOZXI
But there's no video. So I posted here another really good version with sound quality that's a bit lacking because I imagine having video is more conducive to a reaction video. There is so much amazing stuff from these two to explore.
Thanks so much for what your doing, bud. Keep on keeping on.

A wonderfully arranged song: the parts all fit together perfectly, and then Nels Cline plays a truly ridiculous and transcendental and beautiful guitar solo starting at 2:40. There's a reason why Wilco plays this one at almost every show.

Funk it up! Jimmy is a legend and I think this was his last show. The guitarist rips it up! Enjoy!

I have not seen anyone suggest a react to Tash Sultana. Australian solo artist who creates an entire band in her bedroom!

The Allman Brothers Band Fillmore East, one of the greatest performances ever.

REACTED TO
Reaction Video

"While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with George Harrison's son surrounded by Prince, Tom Petty, Steve Winwood, Jeff Lynne and others. At about 3:25 you see Danny H. in the background smile and nod over to stage left. Then it gets real. Would love to hear you react your way through this one!

Martin is outstanding. I could get lost in hours of his art. His style and playing is memorizing and melodic. His lyrics are storied. Literally changed my life.

I found this man on IG one day and followed him since then. He plays in NY and I went to see him play live at a local bar, small crowd, but such a great atmosphere and he did not disappoint. The link I posted was one of the first videos I saw of him and how incredibly he played the base notes and chords voicings by himself so effortlessly, not to mention the feeling you can see oozing out of him as he solos. Great lyrics as well. He needs to be more famous. His latest album is full of groovy hits, another one to consider reacting to is his song β€˜Roll On By’ but the video I linked above left a huge impression on me. Please discuss the song as a whole including some phrasing ideas as well.

I really enjoyed watching your two reactions videos of Colter Wall performing at the Brewery sessions. As a seasoned Colter fan, and one who really enjoys his innate ability to tell stories in song, my favorite song of his is "Bald Butte". He performed it live in early 2020 at another session at the same brewery, and it, along with the recorded version, give me chills every time. I think you'll love it!

I would love to see your reaction to this. The tunes is so groovy and the solo is insane please if you could just give it a listen I promise you will not be disappointed. The chord voicing are unique and different. If you have not heard Tim Reynolds play you are missing out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm so glad to have come across your YouTube channel and lessons; it has reinvigorated my drive to better understand music theory and unlock the neck.

This video of Blake Mills covering Bob Dylan's "When I Paint My Masterpiece" (with Bob Dylan's actual Fender Strat from his performance 50 years earlier) is perhaps the best video I have seen that showcases how much musical texture you can achieve with one guitar and one voice. Blake uses so many techniques with his right hand that make each verse and chorus sound different and exciting.

The video is edited to include scenes from the festival, so there are parts you can't see Blake play, but I trust your ear to dissect what he is doing.

Jimmy James rips it during the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio's live performance on KEXP! A little soul.... a little funk .... and a lot of dirt (on the guitar).
