Incredible playing throughout by two of the greats circa 1990. Cheers!

About as unique of a technique as I've seen. Finger style acoustic player, makes one guitar sound about as full as I've heard before.

Hi Michael,
I wish to request β€œGlen Campbell shreds the guitar (Back home again in Indiana)”. I notice you haven’t covered any of his material.
As a child my parents played cassettes of Glen when going on road trips. However by stumbling across this YouTube video last year, I only recently discovered how great a guitarist Glen really is. Before hand I had only ever listened to his pop music which I also happen to like. There are dozens of tracks I could have requested, and was debating whether to go with this one or his cover of β€œAin't No Sunshine”. I like both his and John Mayer’s versions. However, I ended up choosing β€œBack home again in Indiana” because of how clean and fast he play's.
It would be awesome if you could showcased this video

(By the way the guitar part starts 27 seconds into the video)

regards
Travis

Jazzish instrumental covers of Grateful Dead featuring Jimmy Herring, Oteil Burbridge and others. Herring is a monster in this, great melody and phrasing

Hey Michael,

Your video on Cover Me Up gave me chills just thinking about how you were just then discovering Jason. This song, at around 23:40, is one of the first songs Jason wrote when he was playing with Drive-By Truckers, an excellent southern rock band. Great progression, awesome lyrics, and exceptional slide guitar are what make this track stand out for me, and I know you'll love it too. I can't forget to mention that his wife, Amanda Shires, plays a pretty mean fiddle too! Thanks for all you do and keep up the great work!

I love your reaction videos. I started learning Piano to jam with the freinds, but now I want to jam with my guitar. They throw in some craziness around the 7 minute mark.

Pomplamoose have a knack for taking bubblegum pop songs and changing the chord voicings to make them feel DRAMATICALLY different and progressive. AAAND, they're a fantastic indy band who are helping to keep musicians employed and working during this pandemic. I would love to hear your take on how they're changing these songs to feel so different while staying so familiar.

This woman may have one of the greatest voices I have heard in my entire life, what a talent!

also Joe Bonamassa is a "mediocre" blues man at the best of times!! (wink wink)

also im new here so i know im only supposed to do a video a week but i couldnt help myself

there is so much soul in this man! I saw him years ago with Jeff Healey (no slouch in his own rights!! may he rest in peace) and he stole the show!

criminally underrated and unknown

D'Angelo, Chris Daddy Dave, Isaiah Sharkey, Jesse Johnson, Pino Palladino, Keyon Harrold in the same band. I don't think it needs any more detail than that! If you know, you know!

DMB..... never gets old. love this cooky song

Richard Thompson's technique is absolutely stunning. Fingerstyle TREAT on this one.

Loving the Jerry Garcia lessons. Think I've had a breakthrough and am looking at intervals and linear lines rather than up and down the pentatonic box.

Will keep posting Commodity until you do it. It's the tone, all from a guitar which (apparently) has Mexican Pickups. But mostly the way the tree of them play together. It was the track that made me want to get more serious about guitar and take some lessons.

Keep up the good work

Live track - unfortunately, no live vid. But, the historical pics in the vid are great and the tune is worth it! As the video description states, "Modern Electric Chicago Blues Live 1978". This is HOT right out of the door!!

I'd love to hear what you think of Orville Peck. More songs need whistle breaks! Awesome old school vibes

One of my favorite singer songwriters, plays a 4 string guitar

love this band and song. ive been playing bits and pieces of it for like 15 years. guitargate is the shit( just so you know) and would like to hear you drop some knowledge on this tune. also learning something new on a tune half assed played for 15 years is wicked good motivation to "keep that guitar in my hands" and learn more theory.
