Hello Michael,

I was recently referred to your reacts videos from a friend of mine. I have loved a lot of the videos you have done so far and have signed up for your lessons as I am currently having to cancel my theory lessons I was taking in my town. I'm having ankle surgery next week and can't afford their lessons anymore. I would really appreciate a REACTS video to the song Cocaine & Abel by Amigo the Devil.

Thank you,

Nick

Bunch of Russian musicians who do covers of Chicago possibly better than the originals. The guitar player who plays the Les Paul has some great runs in this cover of 25 or 6 to 4. They also do a great cover of Vehicle by The Ides of March. The drummer is phenomenal.

Hey Michael,

Massive fan of your reaction videos - they've sparked me to pick up guitar again after five or so years. I'd love you to react to this - Tommy's one of my guitar idols, I've seen him live a couple of times and this song is one of my absolute favourites. Big love from New Zealand!

Some really tasty fusion for you. I somehow just discovered these guys, but this video was posted a year ago! Crazy good.

Amazing, the man behinds face says it all

Reverend Horton Heat has been one of those bands I have listened to for year, and have been amazed with Jim Heath's lead techniques. This is one of their classic songs and a great performance.

Absolutely awesome psychedelic rock group I stumbled across a few weeks ago. Everything about these guys is awesome. They speed up and slow down and are super tight in the groove. And the fender rhodes keyboard fits perfectly in.

Hey Michael,

Here is a very very young Marcus King being being outrageously good, as always. I would love to better understand how he plays this, and know that you would be able to help.

Cheers

One of my favorite live performances from my favorite all-time artist, Jason Isbell. I know you've been introduced to him before, but I think this song highlights Isbell's rock side while maintaining his high lyrical standards.

Michael, We have all thoroughly enjoyed watching your dive into the jamband scene. Somehow I don’t recall seeing this phenomenal band come across your radar. Leftover Salmon is considered the pioneers of JamGrass music. Having put in more than 30 years of explosive bluegrass/jamband fusion I beg you to do a reaction video of this. Featuring founding members Vince Herman on vocals/acoustic guitar, Drew Emmitt on vocals/mandolin/fiddle/electric guitar and fairly recent addition Andy Thorn on banjo. Simply stated your dive into the jamband world is incomplete without at least a taste of Leftover Salmon. I have seen them at least a dozen times dating back to 1995 and I never miss the chance to see them when they come close. Incredible energy, outstanding musicianship and a remarkable vibe makes them one of the greatest, somehow still largely unknown bands on the planet. This is their cover of Reuben’s Train which was written decades before we were born so I think it’s safe.
Thank you for all you are doing for musicians aspiring to get better and for providing a brief getaway from all that is going on in the world with your live-streams and reaction videos. Now, may I present....LEFTOVER SALMON!!!

Hey Michael. I’d love your reaction and insights to this video. MCK as a duo have a great blend of Joey holding down the rhythm allowing Kenneth to solo and fill around the chord progressions. Have a listen!

Another epic one from benjamin tod. Are his melodies super unique or what is it that is so interesting?? The volume changes? Also the harmonica and fiddle complimenting each other is next level. Plz do this one ive been working on it and its epic.

Hey Michael,
Huge fan. I discovered your videos at the beginning of quarantine after being sent home from school, and have been watching them religiously ever since. I attempted to teach myself guitar 5-6 years ago, and having gotten bored with learning other people's songs, I figured it was time to learn why the songs I love so much work the way they do. I have been taking your courses all summer, and have found a new passion and excitement for creating music. I chose this performance because today is Mark Knopfler's birthday, and because I think he is such an incredible yet unconventional guitarist. Many people try to imitate him, but nobody can play the way he can. I hope to hear some Dire Straits soon, but either way I look forward to your upcoming videos.
Your friend,
Ollie

This song sucked me deep into Grateful Dead territory about 12 years ago. Great example of a Dead tune that sounds so familiar but is incredibly complex and layered. This particular version is my personal favorite. Jerry is struggling to remember what planet he's on throughout the show and repeatedly is laying down absolute screaming solos. The entire show is wild. At one point Phil has to literally touch Jerry to bring him back to Earth during a lead on Deal and then Pete Townshend just happens to show up and play a spot with them. I really hope you react to this because this song is so important to me, but of you are unable to at least check the show out. It's one in a million.

Michael,

Live from crossroads 07', I thought this was a great video to do a react video to if you haven't seen it yet. The way all of these greats blend together in the mix, yet shine through with nothing but their own unique style's, will certainly leave you with goosebumps.

Hey Michael - Brian Alexander here. This is my favorite female singer-songwriter in the world. Backed up on harmonies by my favorite male singer-songwriter, Jeffrey Martin. Achingly beautiful love song here.

Hey...been a member for a few weeks and love your Reacts videos. Always loved this album from BB king (his band is sooooooo tight). Anwyay, thought this would be a good one to analyze as the phrasing is so good and the change at 2:28 is just magic...if you cant dance to this you aren't alive.
