Throwing up something a bit different to the norm here with the goddess of groove, Erykah Badu. Nobody does it like Badu does. She is one of a kind in the truest sense. This is one of her best live performances, backed by a crazy band, including the legendary Chris Daddy Dave on drums. Enjoy the ride!

I spent a little while trying to figure out where to begin describing this, and got nowhere. This is just one of those live performances you need to just listen to with open ears and zero preconceptions.

D'Angelo's performance at North Sea Jazz is an all-time classic. His band is a collection of the best musicians in the world, from Pino on bass, to Chris Daddy Dave on drums, and the virtuosity of Isaiah Sharkey absolutely dominating this track on the guitar. This entire North Sea Jazz performance is a must-watch for anyone!

John Legend & The Roots cover the Bill Withers classic tune about a Vietnam War soldier who lost his arm. This track has always hit hard and this cover takes it to another place entirely. The Roots are just all class as always.

Every now and then you come past a video that just stops you in your tracks and instantly makes an eternal imprint on you. This is one of those videos. Georgia On My Mind, simply put, is one of the greatest songs ever written. This version from Ian Moss is the best live version I've encountered of this amazing song. You can truly feel just how much he loves this song by the way he sings and plays it.
Audio starts immediately but the footage is super rare and kicks in just after the intro.

Strap yourself in for this one. Chris Dave is an absolute monster driving this freight train on a classic Herbie Hancock tune. Isaiah Sharkey needs no intro, but in my opinion his work with Chris Daddy Dave is his best work to date.

Incredible performance by a group of immensely talented musicians. Jeff and Imogen are stars, but this is nothing without the huuuuge rhythm section. Imogen shows a mastery of band awareness and Jeff Beck is simply Jeff Beck.

This performance from D'angelo and his supergroup band is the level of unified groove that every band should strive for. Isaiah Sharkey once again gives a masterclass on how the guitar fits into a band like this. This is the most impressive band in the world right now.
