Even if you don't react to this on your channel. I just want you to hear a vocalist nail Great Gig in the Sky. This is my band and I trying to do it justice.

May I introduce you to the reincarnation of every great slide player in existence? I may be the biggest Derek Trucks fan, but this is a man to watch. A-MA-ZING.

Chords and good story what more do you need?

Just an awesome.band out of St. Louis, MO. Whenever I'm in a funk I always come back to this band to get my inspiration back. Thanks for all you do!

Thank you. Re-posting a different version of the same song from earlier in the reacts requests. I have been obsessed with Chris Whitley's music now. His guitar work is mesmerizing and his songwriting is up there with the greats in my book from now on.

Michael,

I’ve watched your reacts for a long time, and I’m certain this is one of *the* stickiest grooves you will ever here from a supremely talented group of musicians. This one will make your day.

Thanks for all that you do for music,
Adam

Incredible duo. Have since broke up, but made unbelievable music in a very short time.

You've helped me find great artists like Evan Bartels, Travis Meadows, Christone "Kingfish" Ingram and more. I'd like to give something back to you if I can. I've been learning to play guitar in my 40's because I've always wanted to be able to make music. I've loved music since I was a kid and it feels like magic now that I'm able to make some myself. Thank you for your work on the channel and on guitargate as its inspiration to me to keep at it.

I am sending you this video of an incredible singer and musician, Orville Peck. I chose his acoustic version of Hexie Mountain Blues as its one of his songs I can most relate to. It's about a man learning to live with himself. Both the part of him who he was, and who he is now. I hope you can explore more of his music as there are so many incredible songs. We went to see him live last year and you wouldn't believe how his music brings together people you maybe wouldn't have expected to spend time together. Looking around the audience was to me, a testament to the power of music.

I recognize there are other great videos of his that might be more suitable for the channel so if you prefer to choose another that's totally fine but, I'd really like to see your reaction and breakdown of his music.

Hi Michael, I can't thank you enough for everything that you do. I've been playing guitar on and off for about 15 years now, and your Youtube react videos were the catalyst I needed to pick it up again and continue my journey. I discovered you through your Grateful Dead reactions, and would love to hear you decode another song from the fruitful month of May 1977. Peggy-O is my absolute favorite cover the Dead do. Jerry's solos are always beautiful and melodic. This version from May 5th is particularly moving. As a bonus, its another Betty Board. If you haven't heard it, please enjoy. Cheers.

John Mayer and Eric Clapton play Layla... what else to say?
I liked the way this band looks at each other and communicate. The bas player... I dont know what to say. t
Through your channel I learned to listen in more detail, if that makes any sense. Befor there was the song, I like it or not. There are some musicians you know they are good but they only can show everything because of there band. Please pick out whats going on in this video. thanks for everything Kathi

Need some Outlaws in here! Incredible intro followed by incredible southern rock jam song.

Get mesmerized and taken deep into the melodies, reverb and rhythm of the Gutierrez brothers. Just two brothers playing their guitars, that's it. Their connection, the sound they orchestrate, its emotion and feeling, and you know it the second you hear it.

Micheal, I just started taking your lessons, this is my first reaction video request, it'd be awesome if you picked this. These guys are artists, truly, and I know your reaction videos are about the art form of guitar more than anything and these guys have moved me, man. Also, Dan Auerbach just picked them up a little while age and they've been getting pretty big over the past year.

Note: Actual run time 0:00 - 8:30ish
After that point they go into segue which leads into Mercury Blues. It doesn’t pan out in this video, but will light your butt on fire. Seriously, get the album or listen on Archive.org!

Hi Michael,

Relatively new to the community. Was gifted a lifetime membership for my birthday by my dearest life-long friend, (HI FREAK!) Love that guy!

For this reacts request I wanted to offer you something a little older, a little unusual, and elegant. Zero at the Great American Music Hall in San Francisco, 10-15-92. This video is excerpted from a three night run that culminated in the β€œChance in a Million” album.

When considering what to say about Steve as a player and this performance, what I appreciate about his playing aren't things like techniques, touch, tone, phrasing, etc. Rather, it is his PATIENCE that stands out to me. To my ear this tune is an event that unfolds over time and space, and for a moment will shimmer and dance for you. My hope is that you’ll buy the ticket, take the ride and perhaps feel a little transformed on the other side.

FYI: quick roll call with a few tasty deets. These ain’t your run-o-the-mill schlubs!
Drums: Greg Anton (co-wrote with with Robert Hunter)
Bass: Bobby Vega (Tower of Power, Etta James, Booker T)
Keys/ Elec. Piano: Pete Sears (Rod Stewart, Jefferson Starship)
Keys/ Piano: Nicky Hopkins (Rolling Stones, The Kinks, The Who)
Guitar: Steve Kimock

Currently working on this to try and improve my improvising and phrasing. An absolute masterclass from a legend of the blues. Would love to hear your take on it and get an insight into your thoughts about what BB is doing here.

I haven't found a live performance but this song is top-notch. Even if you don't react to it, you should hear it if you missed it(to this point) like I did.

A video highlighting masters at their craft and how they all work well together. Not only do they play their instruments with precision and feel, but listen for those memorable moments that only come from listening to those around you and improvising together!

I'm sharing this more for the beauty of this version of the song, for the community to see and enjoy! Cheers!

Anderson paak playing with his band in a tiny desk concert which is a very intimate venue which gives a unique perspective of the bands who play. Anderson is a human metronome and would be a shame if you go on without seeing this video.

Love this version of sultans of swing from Martin Miller, Josh Smith and the band. Especially the ending is a top notch example of how Masters of their craft can use their guitars to communicate with each other and the band getting in on that! As I recall, the ending was completely improvised!

Michael,

You gotta do a Muse song. So many epic Matt Bellamy performances out there but came up with this one starting off on the keys then hitting up the guitar. I don't know why I love this band so much but maybe you can shed some light on it. Keep up the great work!

Steve
