A monster producer with hits peppering the top 100, Jon Bellion is a phenomenal artist in his own right. After a 6 year hiatus from performing, he's released an album titled Father Figure focused on wrestling with how to be a dad in our modern times. This particular song was written in the anxiety of becoming a dad on what ended up being the eve of the premature arrival of his first born.

Funk featuring Harry Mack. It's never a bad time to listen to Harry Mack. His of the top freestyles are incredible and his background as a jazz drummer allows him to work this funky groove. Pay attention to the way his vocals are rhythm first, almost emulating a kit, with great lyrics on top.

Jacob Collier, Madison Cunningham, & Chris Thile. I don't really have to say more than that... but just for fun, this is such a display of delicacy and intimacy mixed with beautiful arpeggios, striking harmonies, and a stunning visual and acoustic setting all adding up to a reverberating warmth. The song has layers, musically of course, but also lyrically when considering both perspective presented. Listen and enjoy the magic of these three epic talents.

When I find myself in a world of hurt, this man is my balm. Beauty in simplicity. Beyond the lyrics and overall vibe, what strikes me in this performance are dynamics and consistency. The right-hand is smooth and unwavering and I feel it creating the calm the song speaks of. Avi Kaplan never disappoints.

Avi's body of work is amazing. He brings so much soul to his art. In his acoustics he's just an artist and an instrument spreading hope and beauty for all to enjoy. Plus the man can whistle like a bird.
FYI Avi is most famously known for being the bass of world famous acapella group Pentatonix. He left the group to work on his own art and thank heavens he did. Pentatonix is great, AND Avi has so much to share with the world.

A three piece band that has everything you need, Small Town Titans has a gift for conveying story and realness... while also being able to kick some ass. I highly recommend their entire body of work, but based on what you've shared about your own journey, I'm recommending Doorbell as it might resonate. Love the channel and keep on keeping on.
