Don't know what to tag these guys as. Heavy jazz-prog fusion??

This is just choas. Beautiful choas. Guitar cuts like a razor and the rhythm section will keep you on the edge of your seat.

UM and Billy Strings doing Hendrix. What more could you want?

One of the greatest bands of the last 25 years that puts out one brilliant concept album after the other. It’s rare to find bands with this level of mastery these days.

Been lucky enough to see them live a few times and their performances and live arrangements are second to none. Someone please enjoy.

Must say, I don't recognize any names, but an inspiration for us old folks, regardless...

This is insane! It’s like Corey Wong, Dirty Loops, and Polyphia got merged.

You love her. I love her. We all love her. You don't even need to react to this. Just enjoy it. Stripped down, pure Sierra rawness. Stay well!

I read that Kinky Friedman passed away today, so I decided to do a React Request for one of his songs. I picked this one because it was one of his least controversial songs. He was an author and musician among many other things, and is probably best known for his humor and satire. Some of his subject matter of his would undoubtedly make people uncomfortable but there's no denying he played a part in American culture. He's played with Willie Nelson and even inspired Nelson Mandella. There is an interview at the end of this video which you don't need to play, but please play up to the 6 min mark. RIP KINKY!

Michael,

I’ve seen you do a few bluegrass tunes but nothing yet from Molly Tuttle, a phenomenally talented musician and singer/songwriter. She is as much the future of bluegrass as Billy Strings.
This performance of Over the Line from Paste Studio on the road sessions perfectly captures the musicianship of the 4 other spectacular musicians in this clip including mandolinist Dominick Leslie, fiddle player Bronwyn Keith-Hynes, bassist Shelby Means and Jerry Douglas himself on the Dobro.
After this I encourage you to go down the Molly Tuttle rabbit hole.
Start the clip at 0:35.

Michael,
I didn't see a react video for William Fitzsimmons, so here's my suggestion. Good acoustic fingerstyle technique, and beautiful song writing. He's from around the same place as my grandparents were, and his words are so personal and heartfelt, beautiful and a gut punch all at once. Thanks.

The vocals in this song will blow you away. Tight supporting guitar and a bassist that is clearly feeling the groove, but all the stank comes from the vocals. Such an amazing song. You can thank my later.

And Imma just leave this here.

Hey man, I’m a big fan of the work you do to give guitarist the tools and knowledge to grow as a musicians. This song here has been striking a chord deep in my soul lately and I’d love to hear your perspective on it! Keep fighting the good fight and god bless you.

This is perfection.

From watching how you love emotional songs, try Nolan Taylor. 68 is the name of the song.

Check out this original from Julia Malischke
I got the title quote from another GuitarGate member, but it's true, Joscho (pronounced Yosho) seems comfortable in every genre.
Always inspiring to watch.

Hi Michael,

Noticed you didn’t do any of stings songs yet, so here’s your chance. Great live performance the whole band!

Enjoy

I LOVE this version that he and Merle Haggard recorded. This vid is just him but the phrasing is SOOOO awesome. I love his cool chords in this and would love to have you break it down.

The song is Porch. One we probably all know by now, so nothing new there, but its agood one, and this performance makes for a fun watch. Fall happens at 3:23 in this video. Great to see Mcready keep it going - very inspirational!! Afterall, i can totally relate to man falling down and getting back up again!!

All the Love brother. Thanks for well... everything!!

This song will hit you like a freight train, happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there.

Justin is a lyrical genius that deserves so much more attention, there is a reason he has been opening for John Moreland.

I know you don't do back to backs often, but I saw your video of Noah covering a Counting Crows song and was happy to you exposed to such a talented and emotional artist. His original song Jesus, Jesus hits you right in the soul. The song is a decade old but couldn't ring more true today. I don't know a person cannot relate to the power of the lyrics in this song. We all must remember we share this world together, and this song embodies that sentiment. Much love for everything you do.

A Masterclass in taste. Snowy's lead is proof positive that a simple three chord vamp can be a sound cushion to perfect note selection. If you don't know Snowy White, best get with the program. Peter Green asked Snowy to play this composition on Green's album "In the Skies", as an example of his street cred.

Fun time had watching Joe Cefalu compete in the 2006 San Francisco Guitar Hero competition in front of Joe Satriani and friends. Hope you enjoy
