Who knew Harry could play the guitar? :) Seriously though, I think this is great. He really draws you in right away. I think we can all relate to something in this song since we are a guitar playing community and this is an ode to your guitar.
There are some great lines in here, I really liked, "When that melodies in me, I can hear your choir sing.".
Jeff Daniels apparently is not only a diverse actor, but also a pretty darn good song writer. Enjoy!

I saw Ken open up for John Moreland and she completely blew me away. Her e string broke while she was tuning after the second or third song and she played the rest of the set without an e string. She was at the merch table after the show and she was the nicest person. She deserves all the attention.

Just found out about this band. I absolutely love them. Southern Rock all over!!

MP,
Hope this vid finds it your way. I just rediscovered RM after way too long.
This song help me through a hard break up back in my college days in the mid-80’s with a gal that I thought was the one at the time. I’d go to my bedroom with a cold adult beverage and or a Mary J turn the off lights, click on the black light and just crank it. Bryan Ferry’s voice is just soul grabbing and the musicianship of this band is just stellar.
There are not many songs out there that just garb your soul like this one.
Love to hear your thoughts.
Ps. Keep these react vids coming. Love them. They have help me in my guitar journey to really listening to music vs just hear it.
Peace.

Jacob Collier, Madison Cunningham, & Chris Thile. I don't really have to say more than that... but just for fun, this is such a display of delicacy and intimacy mixed with beautiful arpeggios, striking harmonies, and a stunning visual and acoustic setting all adding up to a reverberating warmth. The song has layers, musically of course, but also lyrically when considering both perspective presented. Listen and enjoy the magic of these three epic talents.

Amazing performance, on a lap slide. Vocals are amazing!

The rhythms, tone, solo, and timing... are all incredible! I love how he can create special moments and keep building on his songs even after release.

Michael - This probably doesn't warrant a reaction video, both because it's too long and it's not a musical performance, but just wanted to share this with you because I think you would enjoy it. Warren Haynes does a great job of describing all of ways you can play with a guitar's sound (tones, equipment, volume setting, etc.), and how band members can feed off of each other out, particularly during improvisations. I really enjoyed the way he articulated all of those thoughts. Maybe me think more about the specific sounds my guitar is making and maybe try to clean it up a little.

Really cool raw live performance by a mk.gee, if you like Dijon you’ll like mk.gee. He has his guitar ran through a cassette player that gives his guitar a crazy 80’s tone that’s very unique

Rest in Peace Dickey Betts. With him and Duane reunited up there it's time to listen to one of their greatest musical conversations no doubt.

Hey Mike, thought this would be a cool video to take a look at. Would be cool to hear your take on the chords and the solo section which has some arpeggio stuff and other chord variations. Love Johnny's style.

Cheers,
Will

Hey Michael! I'm a long-time appreciator of your incredible channel. Hesitant to request Reacts when I'm unsure the performance resonates with you and your listeners. But I also know you and your audience, time and time again, share my instincts for honest music. From Jason Isbell to Kendrick Lamar! Just came across this understated, raw performance by Atlanta's Tyler Mabry and Harlowe Phillips and had to tell myself, "just press send and tell Michael to go ice cold and hit the button." Thanks!

David Grier and Trey Hensley improvise on Freight Train for a good 3 minutes.

If you haven't heard of AJ Ghent, he might be your next favorite slide player. His guitar sounds like a soul singer.

An amazingly under-rated band with such beautiful lyrics.

They did a Fan-submission version of this song during Covid where fans submitted their versions of them playing this song, and they layers it into a collaboration. I submitted some acoustic guitar in which made the cut. Very cool.

Came across this video a few nights ago and i couldn't get it out of my head. I was mesmerized for ever second. Honestly one of the greatest improvisational showings of guitar playing ive ever seen. Truly a masterclass in guitar playing by Jp Cormier and Brian Doyle, these two are true professionals and their rendition of gordon lightfoots song for a winter night was absolutely incredible. Starting at 1:05:50. I highly recommend on your own time if you can find it to listen to the whole show because it truly is something special.

Curious of your thoughts on Bradley's son Jakob joining Sublime at Coachella

Amazing version of a great song.

This song is less about guitar parts and more about the melody and lyrics. It starts out with a couple of verses that build into a second half (at about 3:48) that gives me chills every time. Sometimes songwriting just has that ability to express a feeling in a way nothing else can. This music featured at the end of a recent Bluey episode called The Sign (the Australian children's TV show). Would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you, Michael!

**Disclaimer** Shows the struggles of drug abuse and overcoming. Pretty graphic yet powerful, raw and real. I know you normally only do live music but this is worth the watch.

Laufey (pronounced LOI-ve) is from Iceland. Chinese mom and Icelandic dad play in the philharmonic. She was stuck in her dorm at Berklee in Boston during COVID and started posting videos.

My daughter clued me in last summer, 2023. We’re gonna catch her on Saturday. She’s selling out 5,000+ theaters and just got a grammy for pop vocal.

Nora Jones vibes in that she’s made pop music out of jazz that doesn’t require a nervous ear to listen. Next big thing.

These girls are on fire.

You're only as good as your drummer, and by that logic the sky is the limit. Paulina is out of control back there.

If I could buy stock in a band, I would invest in these guys. Just happened to be browsing the website of our one of our local venues in Billings, MT and they popped up. Went to Youtube and was hooked immediately. The live show did not disappoint. Unfortunately the word didn't get out and there was around 30 people there. They deserved a much larger audience which made me think of you, Michael! Give it a spin. I think you will dig these guys!

On a personal note I discovered you and this community through one of these videos. I have grown so much as a guitarist in the past couple of years because of your teaching. Thank you so much!

Sincerely,

Josh Sayer
