Secret Chiefs 3 playing "Spiritus Itelligentiae: Jophiel." This is one of my favorite out-of-the-box bands. Front man plays bass on this song but also kills it on guitar...was doing micro-tonal stuff before Angine De Poitrine. No loops. 2 drummers. Hint of Klezmer Rock. Lots of talent on the stage. Don't sleep on these guys. Been around for a while...truly unique. My favorite album of theirs is "Xaphan: The Book of Angels Volume 9. The Book of Angels is a series of albums (12 total) by John Zorn, performed by different bands...even Medeski, Martin & Wood. That's how I found these guys. Enjoy. John Scofield & MonoNeon jamming with Scary Goldings in the studio on "Meter's Running." Take a second to focus on Scofield's spectacular guitar lead that starts at 0:58. He oozes in to something and just when it feels right, he makes it feel better. Great communication between the guitars...but that's not a surprise whenever you're talking about the great John Scofield.

This is one of the most interesting and unique Grateful Dead cover bands I've ever come across. They're a bunch of young guys without much of a following, doing free shows in Central Park, packing immense talent. I've never wanted you to react to something more! The first 15 mins is Bird Song -> He's Gone. Totally rocks Mike, hope to see a video!
