Just joined the community. Love watching the reaction videos and learning the theory behind them. I Put A Spell On You is one of my all time favourites. I like all the covers but this Samantha Fish performance blew me away. Please check it out and review!

I just watched your first video on Elliot Smith - Between the Bars. I wanted to share my favorite song by him. The song is “Son of Sam” and it is the opening track to his album Figure 8, which was his final completed album before his death. Elliot had been known to have a lofi diy sound for most of his career, making the majority of his music with just him, his guitar, and a tape recorder. His sessions for Figure 8 saw him playing more instruments and trying to get a more full “band” sound. The track Son of Sam showcases his ability to really rock while maintaining his emotional edge. Hopefully this one won’t be as heavy as your first reaction, but will still make you think!

Continuing my sharing of Canadian artists - Adam Baldwin is a gem of a songwriter from Nova Scotia. He captures the essence of the place and its people. This whole set it gold, but Causeway Road at 1:54 and Lighthouse in Little Lorraine at 24:29 are my favourites.

Eric Clapton’s solo is a masterclass in phrasing, dynamics, and restraint. Rather than relying on speed, he builds emotion through expressive bends, controlled vibrato, perfect timing, and well-placed pauses, making every note feel intentional. It’s a powerful reminder that great guitar playing is about musicality and feel, not the number of notes you can play.
