LA LOM's great cover of the 1960's Ayahuasca Cumbia Surf pioneers Los Wemblers. This is a fusion of Peruvian cumbia and a little acid rock, drenched with reverb as in the original.
The lead guitarist of LA LOM is Zak Sokolow, son of Fred Sokolow the guitar instructor via books!
The second link is to the original band playing in Iquitos, the major Peruvian port on the Amazon River, where Los Wemblers developed their genre.
Al Di Meola, Steve Lukather and John Scofield with a stellar cover of Miles Davis' "All Blues!" This is a great song that a lot of artists cover, making a standout version very rare.
