Wayne Krantz live in NYC 2019...a fantastic live improv with a tease of ACDC's "Back In Black" early on and as an outro. In the middle, he gives shows the proper way to tastefully use a ring modulator. Just awesome!

One of my favorite guitarists of all time, Wayne Krantz, with hi Sugar Trio live at The Bitter End in 2024. Not only is the performance just sick, but 2 things stand out: the rhythm section is watching Wayne constantly for subtle & silent cues, and the groove created by a diabolically delicious time/feel shifts at 2:20, 2:43, 3:33...that lead to a sweet break down at 3:50. If you look closely you can see that the drummer is not just counting, but counting subdivisions...which is the key to owning any groove.

Secret Chiefs 3 playing "Spiritus Itelligentiae: Jophiel." This is one of my favorite out-of-the-box bands. Front man plays bass on this song but also kills it on guitar...was doing micro-tonal stuff before Angine De Poitrine. No loops. 2 drummers. Hint of Klezmer Rock. Lots of talent on the stage. Don't sleep on these guys. Been around for a while...truly unique. My favorite album of theirs is "Xaphan: The Book of Angels Volume 9. The Book of Angels is a series of albums (12 total) by John Zorn, performed by different bands...even Medeski, Martin & Wood. That's how I found these guys. Enjoy. John Scofield & MonoNeon jamming with Scary Goldings in the studio on "Meter's Running." Take a second to focus on Scofield's spectacular guitar lead that starts at 0:58. He oozes in to something and just when it feels right, he makes it feel better. Great communication between the guitars...but that's not a surprise whenever you're talking about the great John Scofield.
