Someone was able to isolate Bob Weir's rhythm guitar etc. I found it fascinating to hear it isolated from the whole. I hope you find it so as well.
STYLE MIXED BETWEEN FUNK AND BLUES VERY HIGH RHYTHM SKILLS..AND ORIGINAL OUT OF THE BOX GROOVE
In a thousand years when future civilizations ask “What is a Van Halen?” I hope they find this video. It’s King Edward, man…I’m speechless.
:20-33–Notice how the first lick starts with a D, second lick seems too start with either an up-rake or (my guess) a sweep from E to D, and the third lick starts with an open G; also, each pull off from D to C in the G string has that signature Chris Buck slide thing happening. All this happens at 210 MPH so I missed it on the album.
Lou Reed - vocals
Steve Hunter - guitar
Dick Wagner - guitar
Prakash John - bass
Ray Colcord - keyboard
Pentti Glan - drums
This changed my life in high school in 1974 and it still makes me smile today!
Sorry, I could not find any legit video of this show.
Charlie Hunter, Stanton Moore, Skerik, and Mike Dillon...so good! Great take on a Hendrix classic!
Hey
Would love an analysis of this song. Its kpop. Bruno mars meets a shonen jump intro theme song meets 2000s emo.
If you can breakdown the melody/harmony of the chorus/prechorus thatd be clutch. Its literally 3-4 notes that are the absolute pivot/axis of this song. It's just enough to make me want listen again without leaving me 100% satisfied. If that's not pop, idk what is. It's almost scientific.
I discovered this song shortly before my niece passed; not much to talk about other than lyrics until I found the symphony version. Now it holds all the pain and memory of the experience and I love/hate it...
Went too a concert of Amos Lee in Holland. I was going with a friend but he canceled at the last minute. I went alone and fell in love with his musicality and the drummer is so amazing in this song. Love his voice and the fact that he was a school teacher and gave it up 2 play music. Great choice he made.
