I started playing guitar in my teen years. My parents gave me a right handed Squier for Christmas one year and despite playing primarily acoustic guitar into my 30s, I never was long term consistent with my practice as I never felt particularly comfortable playing.

A few years ago I bought a new guitar with the intention of finding that comfort and enjoyment in playing and practicing. It dawned on me recently that perhaps my discomfort was from playing a right handed guitar all this while despite being a natural lefty. I bought a left handed acoustic and am now starting from the very beginning.
