Some of the most talented musicians out there today! These guys can flat out play and are just so damn cool. Definitely a throw back to 50s/60s style of Cuban/Peruvian rock but with their own flare. Look out for this band as they are going to be big!

I used to love hearing Wings/Paul McCartney doing let em in. My mom used to play that song on the radio all the time when I was a kid she introduced me to music and it was beautiful I wanted to see your take on this beautiful cover. Thank you Michael.

Came across this the other day and was thoroughly impressed by the effortless double stops accompanying the sax. He makes this look so effortless.

Kinda fun

Frampton may be the most under rated guitar player of my generation. In this 90's classic, the exchange between Frampton and his drummer are mind-bending.

Slightly Stoopid jamming on Franklins tower with Bob Weir of the Greatful dead. Recorded at "Live at Roberto's TRI Studios 2" on 4/21/2016. Literally my favorite band in world im currently at their "Closer to the Sun festivals 10th anniversary in Mexicos Hard Rock Riviera Maya. There is no other music festival that can even come close

Michael, if you haven't seen this, or you are not familiar with Snowy White, do yourself a big favour and watch this master show how minor pentatonics can be done. You're welcome.

I'll continue my uploads of Canadian artists who deserve more shine! Daniel Romano is a gem. A true shapeshifter. This is from his country phase: a straight up commitment to the genre with great songwriting and execution. And Aaron Goldstein kills it on the petal steel. Would love to hear your breakdown of what elements of this (progression, phrasing, harmony, etc.) give it such a distinctive old-school country feel.

Found this band a little while ago. They got everything! voice, lead guitar, drummer is nuts! Enjoy

Heard this and immediately thought of your channel. A must watch. Thank you all for making the music that is connected with so many memories!

Always a hit but this time with a beautiful acoustic intro and big finish.

Incredible playing by Steve Winwood and the band (killer drumming!) on this Traffic classic.

Hi Michael,

First off, love guitargate, your content, and all of it. It inspires me to not only play but leads me to so many new musicians that really bring forth emotion. Stephen Wilson Jr I think you'll find to be one of those guys.

This song (I'm a song) was served up to me today while listening to music and working. I literally needed to stop everything I was doing and just revel in the emotion behind it. The song, the feel, and voice all grasp at the soul while a less than conventional approach to the guitar leaves you wondering how one guy with a guitar can make you feel all he does. Please give it a listen, and more than anyone else, keep doing what you're doing man.

All the best,
Doug

I just started taking your beginner's classes. This is one of my favorite songs and his guitar playing has always sounded like some magical alchemy to me. I think I read somewhere that he uses some unconventional tuning. I'd be interested in hearing you explain what he's doing. I'd love to be able to play this someday. Thank you.

Dude, you've got to do this one. Stephen Wilson Jr. is one of the best up and coming singer/songwriters out there. I've been listening to him for awhile now and love his music. He just debuted this song and played it on "Live at the Print Shop" very recently. It's a powerful song and one that I believe you'd love.

Thanks,
Brian Bullard

I mean the name of the song says it all. Haunting with anxiety.

The steadiest bass player I've ever seen, a metronome on the drums and then these two gentlemen: it doesn't get much better.

This is my first upload! I am only going to suggest Canadian artists, as there are so many great artists here that need some shine. This great tune is by Tim Baker from St. John's Newfoundland. Awesome song for beginners to learn - diatonic, but he uses different voicings and flourishes (susses and 7th) to add flavour and uses dynamics well to propel the song along.

Amazing band from Boston

It is John Moreland, need I say more

Just saw this one today and thought it's time for some Warren and Derek action!
Phenomenal version of the classic Allman Bros tune. Warren is such a monster and
Derek doesn't get enough credit for his non-slide playing. Tone, feel and technique...
this one has it all. Don't forget the killer bass too!

David Gilmour and his daughter Romany, Between two points. I don't have an explanation for this song, you'll just have to experience it.

Maybe the greatest vocalist of this era across this genre of music. A Masterclass in songwriting, she is going to be an all time great. Thoughtful chord progressions and structure that make this song great.
