John Mayer is quickly rising on the list of greatest guitarists of all time in my opinion.

Michael, accidental find and freaking outstanding! Glenn Hughes(Deep Purple, Black Sabbath), Joe Bonamassa, Jason Bonham(son of John Bonham), and Derek Sherinian(Dream Theater). Better to just watch, experience, and enjoy the ride! What a lineup of musicians! Starts at 0:19!

An incredibly powerful song from an incredible performer in a stripped down setting

This man is quickly becoming one of my favorite songwriters! I heard him cover a Sugar Ray song and decided to check out his other stuff. His album "Second Dinner" has been on repeat ever since. Such great tone in his voice combined with great lyrics.

Love this. Miley is always such a great performer, and I was so happy to see Britney Howard take such a melodic and bluesey solo.

Just found this the other day and absolutely love it. John Oates and Guthrie Trapp killed this bluesy version of Maneater. I’d love to see you react and break it down!

Robert Fripp is a beast on the guitar - amazingly original in sound and technique. Stick with this one!

Lost in the music, unbelievable sounds that you’ve never heard, feedback sounds are GRIPPING, MUST watch. One of the greatest performances OF ALL TIME!

Getting into Freddie King more after deep diving on Albert King. The mood each King brings is so different. Albert's no nonsense and telling you how it is. BB is the kind grandfather. Freddie just likes to have fun. And this song is just all around a good time.

We all know Rotem in the guitar community, and he, his wife, family and friends have put this together for his son, Eden. Give it a listen, and keep Rotem and his family in your thoughts.

One of the most exciting new bands! Guitar, songwriting, and emotion what more could you want!?

Came across this during a rabbit-hole-scroll.

This is such an amazing song by a super talented lead guitarist and singer. One of the most exciting bands to hear, my favorite album since Radiohead's In Rainbows. We have a paucity of female shredders represented on Michael's song analyses and I would love to hear what he thinks of this.

Michael,

I’ve been playing guitar for years but never really dedicated myself take it seriously. Watching your reaction videos has changed that and I thank you for it. I signed up for Guitargate last week and I pick up my guitar every time I sit down now. I thank you for that.

Anyway, this is an old DBT tune that Jason and the boys performed on his Live From Alabama album. This performance is brilliant. The horns add a layer of warmth and tension to the song and the solo is incredible.

Thanks again and I hope to see your reaction.

Just watched your reaction to Alice In Chains' unplugged version of Nutshell, an all-time favorite of mine. If you haven't seen it, this is one of the best covers of the song ever. Captures the spirit but with a different flair. Depressingly beautiful. Dallas has the voice of an angel and the guitar part is perfectly matched. Layne is undisputed, but this version is legit.

My son turned me on the post-punk indie band Geese from NYC. They've been playing together since high school, and the vocals and guitar riffs have musicality that I can't even start to describe. Would love to hear your breakdown.

This song is such an ear worm. Its melody is that of a California surf scene. The electric guitar tone/sound as well as his solos drive the song.

This is one of my favorite live performances ever. Everything about this is great, the entrance of the band, the bass, the guitar, the voice, and the lyrics. I get chills every time I hear this version of the song

A friend of mine introduced me to this band a few days ago and now I can't get enough of them. I haven't heard anyone play so tight and in the pocket for a long long time. And the groove catches you immediately.

I absloutley love an am amazed by this live version by John. His rhythum playing is actually insane when it's mixed in a solo

I don't know how this one slipped by me, but this is a stunning performance by Ben Howard on Later With Jools Holland (love that show.) The emotion and intensity is incredible. I'm glad I stumbled onto it after 10 years. Love your courses and love your channel!

Vibes vibes vibes, and an unstoppable bass groove

Unbelievable vocal power. Haunting guitar progression. This song sticks with you.

A blues legend and an up and coming star. John and Buddy showing two completely different dynamic approaches to soloing. If you haven't seen this and consider yourself a John Mayer fan its a MUST watch.
