Awesome acoustic performance of one of the most instantly-recognizable songs in the rock sphere. Check it out if you haven't!

I grew up during the Power Ballad Years. I feel that one of the best power ballads of all time is also one of the most underrated power ballads. That song is Skid Row's "I Remember You". Whenever I hear it on the radio I have to stop whatever I am doing to listen to this song. It epitomizes everything that a great power ballad should be: outstanding vocals, lyrics that pull on our heart strings, multiple guitars blending acoustic, rhythm, and lead with catchy riffs that drive the emotions of the song. I would love to hear your reaction to this song. Thank you

Never heard of this artist before, but she popped up in my feed the other day and I'm glad I clicked. I really enjoy the emotion she is able to portray through her guitar playing, and I hope you enjoy it as well!

I can't point out a specific part of the video, because it's spectacular from start to finish.
This is what we all dream about... being able to make the guitar sing the sounds we have in our heads, and these guys got there.

Amazing!!!

I haven't submitted a react request in a while now, but after hearing this song I knew I had to submit it. I think this relatively unknown artist is perfect for the channel. This particular song dives into topics of war, politics, faith, humanity, and disillusionment with the church. All important topics that are difficult to discuss, but somehow seem easier to bring up in a song. I hope you enjoy it and check out some of his other tunes. Thanks!

From the Simon and Garfunkel harmonies to the Dave Rawlings flat picking style. Video starts at 51:40.

Man, Oliver Anthony did it again with this one. What a hit. I'm loving the electric guitar in this one. I'd love to see a breakdown of the solo.

I saw Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds tour recently and he did a song from this era - I had no idea.

Post Punk Brilliance!

This band is killing it. It's a simple song but with 3 guitars and nut job of a drummer, I can't get enough of it!
Enjoy!

Dylan is one of the most underrated songwriters alive today. The combination of brilliant lyrics, beautiful fingerpicking and perfect arrangement behind songs like this are what make him an incredible artist.

Haunting, achingly beautiful, exquisitely crafted.

The tone is in the fingers, the song is from the heart.

Mato Nanji - vocals and lead guitar
Levi Platero - guitar
Bronson Begay - bass
Douglas Platero - drum

Skip to 29:30 Masterclass in learning on the fly! Tal, not a Country player and this whole video Tom is just leading her through these songs. Just a masterclass on 1) not giving a shit and having fun and 2) watching Tal watching Toms hands through these songs that she is clearly not familiar with at all! One of Tom's best videos he's ever done. Just watch her watching him...

I’d love to get a breakdown of Dead & Company’s "Morning Dew" from 7/2/23. This was, absolutely mind blowing and there is so much to unpack in this performance! How the band slowly, carefully builds the tension to a peak, then frees it was pure magic from the delicate opening to powerful climax. (9:08)

If it gets chosen, I’d be stoked to see how some of the techniques and nuances in this particular version could be used when applied to our own playing. Thanks for considering it.

Rock on,

David. V

My latest favourite band, goes well while driving. They don't have a lot of video content to choose from. Try this one or any other you can find. Highway 9 or The Gears is pretty good.

This is a live performance of the song "I Lied To You" written by Raphael Saadiq and Lundwig GΓΆransson and performed by Miles Caton, GΓΆransson, and Jayme Lawson. It's so hard to believe that Miles Caton is only 20 years old and learned to play the guitar for this role with the way he performs. I love that you can feel the unabashed joy Caton and GΓΆransson feel performing and Lawson and the audience feels listening and singing along.

My personal opinion is that while this live performance is amazing, this song must be experienced by watching the movie, preferably while it's still in theaters. The movie's visuals and context add so much to the performance and is truly the best way to experience the intended message. The scene in the movie where this song is perfomed legitimately brought me to tears, it was that moving.

Song title is "Can't Outrun the Blues." Great guitar performance for the Carter store.

Michael, I've never really enjoyed country. Then I found this song and Jackson Dean. I know that this song is not muscially complicated. That said, this chord progression (with a capo and without) is incredibly effective and used by songwriters all the time. Why is it so effective and so emotional? Also, this picking pattern - any chance you can help a brother out?
