In this video I have a few examples of how I've been practicing and thinking about triplets and the shuffle. I'm not sure if I'm speaking about everything accurately so if you notice something inaccurate please tell me about it!
Practicing Barre Chords, murdering one of my favorite songs.
Took Jamie’s lesson and created something similar so as not to be parroting back what he just showed us.
I dig the “left hand of the piano” concept.
Wow - just discovered Buddy tonight. Way ahead of his time.
An incredible display of rhythm guitar and overall musicianship
Hey guys!
I'm Ali Colak. From Chicago, Illinois. Got into singing/songwriting when Ed Sheeran dropped Shape of You. I've been playing guitar on and off for about six years, but this year I committed to getting better at moving around the fretboard and fingering. I've been practicing a lick a day with Guitar Aerobics, but I really want to get better with songs, so I'm here. A friend of mine that I take vocal lessons with recommended this course and I loved that we could upload videos for feedback!
Just getting the backing track off the ground....
Completely new to me. Brilliant vocal. Stunning lyrics. Perfect deployment of a capo and harmonic use of stepping chords to meet the voice.
What. A. Song.
One of the UK musicians I've recently got really into (he's been around for a decade already, can't believe he passed my radar!) is Michael Kiwanuka - he has a wonderful warm-toned voice, and his music is soulful and heart-wrenching in equal measures - from his second album Love & Hate, this song Rule The World really showcases the voice, and his craft at songwriting, would love to know what you think of him!
