Not my best playing so I think this would be great for some feedback. Made this as my first YouTube Video a demo of my PRS SE Hollowbody Piezo. There are points where my hand feels super weak (maybe you can see what im talking about Michael?), This was after a long day of working on my Gypsy Jazz stuff so that could be why. Any advice for phrasing or issues you hear/ see would be great!

Starting at 1:30:56 of this show is a song called Meditation - absolutely beautiful composition by Cory that leads to a POWERFUL guitar solo! Enjoy :)

Michael Lee Firkins is like some weird mutant fusion of Bluesy Shred Metal Neo Classical awesomeness. He is so unknown and I have been trying to find the tabs to this song for as long as I can remember. Would be amazing to have you dissect this performance! I love this song so much that I plan on posting until you eventually get around to it! Much love.

The linked video actually includes two songs... I provided a timestamped link that takes you straight to "Rain In The Tunnel"

I’ve always admired Billy Corgan and his unique tones and playing styles on the first three Smashing Pumpkins albums. The band can go from mild to wild pretty quickly and this particular song I think showcases this well. James Iha and Jimmy Chamberlin really bring the band’s sound together and I hope the live version of this song does justice to one of my favorite bands of the 90s.

More Vulfpeck!

Deantown is a fantastic normally, but adding Chris Thile just brings it to another level. The percussion he manages to add to the song with the mandolin is incredible.
Cory Wong is as solid as always, but with a different style than normal.

Would love to see you react to this!

Not a lot of guitar here, but Rhiannon Giddens projection is amazing!

I know you love the female vocalists, Michael, so I thought I'd share this with you. Hope you enjoy!

John Mayer is most definitely my biggest idol and inspiration. Helpless is on the top of my favorite songs from him so i would really like to see you break this down.

By the way, I really enjoy your courses. Keep it up!

React video.

Typical of Elliot, Angeles is fingerstyle picking with a beautiful melody and somber lyrics. I'm interested in you picking apart both the fingerstyle as well as the chord changes. This version of Angeles has an earnest moment. About a minute into it he messes up the lyrics, bails on the song for a few seconds, and then starts back up. It is absolutely what I love about live performances.

Brian Alexander here - figured you needed to see some of the hot (literally, it was near 100 degrees that day) music played in Veneta, OR on 8/27/72. This is clipped from a movie called "Sunshine Daydream."

Micheal, I'm loving the channel and your theoretical approach to these reacts videos! Keep up the great work. It is improving my guitar playing by leaps and bounds.

Not sure if you've come across Vulfpeck before, but they are single-handedly bringing Funk back to the masses. They sold out MSG in Dec last year and have built a huge fan base due to their quirky style, catchy song-writing, and very solid musicianship. Fun fact: They raised ~$20k on Spotify by having their fanbase stream an album of blank songs overnight on repeat and used the money to fund a free tour.

An oldie but a goodie! Its pretty bad video quality but the audio is good. Would love to get your help breaking some of it down. Bernard runs through "Meet me Halfway" followed by "Serious" by his dad Luther Allison

Just WOW, i know its a long video but this is one of the coolest blues performances ever in my opinion. This was at the 2010 crossroads festival and is a classic must watch for sure. For the sake of the react though, i'm more concerned with the first 6 - 7 minutes of the video

What is there to say? Tone? Yes! Drums? YES! Clowns? You betcha.

The Smashing Pumpkins are constantly mentioned for their songwriting and fuzz tone. But what about that feedback control? What is happening in those shredding lines? How are the guitars working together? Why does that second opener "..and I knew.." sound SO good? Would love to hear your thoughts! Great courses and content!!

What. A. JAM.

I've been following this guy (and his band The Other Favorites) for a few years and love his phrasing and vocals. I love this version as the guitar has a lovely tone and the chord choices and embeleshments are so on point. I'd love to see you're reaction and breakdown. He's like a mix of James Taylor and Paul Simon! Big thanks from across the pond for what you do!
