Mogwai - Remurdered (doomy synth jam)

Rock

I've loved this band for most of my life now. They run the gamut from haunting and sparse, to metal, to peaceful cinema score, but this is probably my all-time favorite track.

I hope someone enjoys this!

IMO the best post-Jerry Dead offshoot. Love to see a reaction to this guitar duo ripping the roof off this Brent tune.

RED CLAY STRAYS

Rock

Michael, I've been following you for years but recently became a subscriber. I've greatly appreciated all the lessons and advice you've given to your followers, your site helps makes this world a better place. I'm requesting The Red Clay Strays because they are the most unique and authentic band I've seen in years. This band is such a breath of fresh air in this current world of homogenized, computer driven music. These guys have been burning up the road for years and they are just now getting the recognition they deserve.

Kings X - Pretend

Rock
Tone

You got do Kings X. 13 studio albums later, the world is still sleeping on these guys. One of the tastiest bands I've ever heard.

Allegedly they are said to have been a major influence on Pear Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, The Smashing Pumpkins, Pantera and others.

This one obviously starts off shaky, but in typical Kings X fashion, by the end of the track their groove has you all in. One of my favorite tracks by them.

Appreciate your videos/lessons. Keep killin it

Houndmouth - Darlin'

Rock

This band has come on my radar as one of my favorite sounds. I started looking at live shows after they came to my town and I found this whole set. I think you should definitely check out Darlin (Second to last in the set) and Palmyra (fourth in the set), even though they're all worth watching.

Love to see you break down this beautiful version, especially the pre-“across the river” jam. It’s hot. Also, I’ve been watching your videos for a while and finally took the lifetime member plunge. So happy to be part of the community!

The Main Squeeze - “War Pigs” (Black Sabbath Cover)

Lead Guitar
Rock

Let me start off by saying thank you for Guitargate! I just started teaching myself to play two years ago and I’m excited to start taking myself to a new level with your guidance. As for this react request - this may be the best cover of the best song of all time. I never would’ve thought War Pigs needed keys but it elevates the song to levels previously unknown. You know as well as I do what the Main Squeeze are capable of and this cover really showcases their potential and skill levels. I’ve wanted to see your reaction to this for so long; do it for the people, Michael!

RED CLAY STRAYS

Rock

The Red Clay Strays are the most unique and authentic band I've seen in years. I've been following them for the last three years and they are on a rocket ship right now. It's hard to put into words how to describe their sound other than amazing. If Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis and Johnny Cash got together, you might end up with the Red Clay Strays. Best American band on the road right now and they are great human beings as well.

Hell in a Bucket 7/7/89

Rock

Hands down the best Hell in a Bucket out there.

Huge fan of yours for a while now, you’re seriously missing out on Dallas Green’s new stuff with City and Colour. This is a new take on an older song, such a great tone and unreal mixing.
