One of the greatest bands of the last 25 years that puts out one brilliant concept album after the other. Itβs rare to find bands with this level of mastery these days.
Been lucky enough to see them live a few times and their performances and live arrangements are second to none. Someone please enjoy.
Slides have definitely been in my practice, but less than bends (I'm sure I'll bend more when I get an electric). I'm demoing the techniques in these songs as I haven't been working much on my own lead lines or improv.

I mean.... not sure what needs to be said about this song. It's brilliant. Very interesting chords, but of course the star of the show is the vocals.
Trying to practice everything with a metronome now (I may switch to drum tracks) because staying on beat is such a struggle. I love this drill overall, as focusing on my weaker chord transitions is helping me with sticky patches for songs I'm trying to learn.
This lesson is so helpful Mike, realizing how the chords tell you which scale shape you're using. It's really helping me put things together and see my way around the fretboard. It's probably my favorite lesson so far. In my practice, I'm running through each note minor and major at both 2 and 4 pattern positions.
I've loved this band for most of my life now. They run the gamut from haunting and sparse, to metal, to peaceful cinema score, but this is probably my all-time favorite track.

I started at 80bpm a couple of months ago and I can go faster but I start losing technique so I plan to ease my way up in speed and try to get cleaner near the 12th fret (short pinky problems). Its awesome to see the progress.
