Michael,

Thanks for letting me chat with you on the 10/26 live stream. Here's the track that we SHOULD have watched. I listen to so much music I can't keep it all straight. Even if you don't react to it, THIS is what I wanted you to hear. We got to meet these guys during set break and they were all very humble and kind. Hope you get to see them live some day.

Would love for you to break down the jazz elements at the beginning, then, once you pick your jaw up off the floor after the blues section, try and pick out the nifty chord changes during the final sax solo. They are from Chicago, this was recorded live in Chicago, and this first track sure sounds like Chicago.

Dani Rabin on guitar has an incendiary tone, Everette Benton on drums is head-spinningly good, Danny Markovitch on sax is a wizard, and Jon Nadel on bass holds it all together.

You won't be disappointed and more people need to hear/see this band. They have eight albums under their belt and tour relentlessly. Not to be missed.

Thanks for all you do for this community. Keep up the great work!

Hey Michael,

Huge fan of the youtube channel and I just signed up for the yearly subscription. I'm always looking for a suggestion to blow you away with. I have no clue what you're talking about with the 5th of the third of the 4 chord mixolydian (had to google that word) musical theory stuff, I just nod and say yep that's what I thought it was. I'm a 3 chords and the truth guy myself. Anyhow, I have a JAM that will blow your socks off. I don't believe the theory side is gonna wow you, the DETAILS are gonna smoke you like a Thanksgiving turkey. More details in these lyrics than in all of your reaction songs combined. Unreal stuff. The jammin is strong as well. Just give it a listen and prepare to block out 20+ minutes to process it all.

If you don't know Jeffrey Foucault, he's definitely worth checking out. This is a beautiful song with some of my favorite lyrics ever

Recently discovered your channel and man can I just say that it's been a real treat.
Playing guitar was one of the few things my father and I really bonded over when I was younger.
He's self taught and so while I've played for years in various bands and capacities, I've never made an effort to extend that knowledge beyond what I simply thought sounded cool.
Having an outlet now to learn in a constructive environment by a teacher who knows his stuff is a ton of fun and has helped reignite that passion. I think you'll like this after having seen you react to Bo Burnham. Bilmuri has the same "meme-esque" approach to their music that just like Bo ends up as an interesting facade hiding a surprising amount of depth underneath with some powerful things to say. I hope you enjoy this either way!
