Playing guitar was one of the few things my father and I really bonded over when I was younger.
He's self taught and so while I've played for years in various bands and capacities, I've never made an effort to extend that knowledge beyond what I simply thought sounded cool.
Having an outlet now to learn in a constructive environment by a teacher who knows his stuff is a ton of fun and has helped reignite that passion. I think you'll like this after having seen you react to Bo Burnham. Bilmuri has the same "meme-esque" approach to their music that just like Bo ends up as an interesting facade hiding a surprising amount of depth underneath with some powerful things to say.
