Tom Bukovac,
Guthrie Trapp Trio,
Jed Hughes,

Total control.

This song could have been 7 mins long instead of 13, but then every single note and every single tone wouldn't have been 100% intentional. This is a master class in taking a simple song and owning it, making it a part of you, and emoting with intention rather than being theatrical (though Uncle Larry also gives a master class in guitar face).

Enjoy!

So many road. So many moments. Mayer gets saved; Mayer saves them all. Bob always has the best inversations. Jeff is some soft of ticklish glue. Oteil and the boys keep it all together. Absolute stunner. Signed: a casual fan and lifelong dreamer.

Can't wait to finally see Sturgill this fall. Missed out at Merriweather Outlaw fest days after he lost his voice. Thought I'd never get another chance. Shows what I know.

Please play along to my favorite Sturgill video of all time. Definitely works for metal heads as well. 100% of everything left on the floor of that studio.

Incendiary.

So much to love about this video:
Tight band
Killer hook
Dynamic changes
Modal changes
Face melting
Oozing, unctuous sounds

You will not be disappointed. Takes a while to get to dessert, but the main course is loaded with cool things to explore. Hope you enjoy your sonic meal. Sop me up with two biscuits!

Fresh video from one of the greats. Wondering if you were there. Came up in my suggested's and knew I had to show it to you (and everyone else). Don't fret the length; the first song, "I Can Tell", ends at 8:21. Hope you enjoy this national treasure and I hope to see him in person before it's too late. Thanks for all you do for our community.

Michael,

Thanks for letting me chat with you on the 10/26 live stream. Here's the track that we SHOULD have watched. I listen to so much music I can't keep it all straight. Even if you don't react to it, THIS is what I wanted you to hear. We got to meet these guys during set break and they were all very humble and kind. Hope you get to see them live some day.

Would love for you to break down the jazz elements at the beginning, then, once you pick your jaw up off the floor after the blues section, try and pick out the nifty chord changes during the final sax solo. They are from Chicago, this was recorded live in Chicago, and this first track sure sounds like Chicago.

Dani Rabin on guitar has an incendiary tone, Everette Benton on drums is head-spinningly good, Danny Markovitch on sax is a wizard, and Jon Nadel on bass holds it all together.

You won't be disappointed and more people need to hear/see this band. They have eight albums under their belt and tour relentlessly. Not to be missed.

Thanks for all you do for this community. Keep up the great work!

- Christopher
