If you have never heard of Randy Hansen, you have definitely missed something.
I have seen him live about ten years ago and no shit, it was probably the closest anyone could ever get to playing & singing like Hendrix. If you ever have a chance to see this guy live, do it before itβs too late.
Should be on every hendrix-fans bucketlist, which is probably like every guitarist out there.

I got this from Wikipedia if youβre interested -
Paul Nelson of Rolling Stone magazine was in attendance that night. Writing about Rock 'n' Roll Animal he recalled: "As it happens, I had seen Reed and a mediocre pickup band at Lincoln Center some months earlier in his first New York non-Velvets appearance and he was tragic in every sense of the word. So, at the Academy, I didn't expect much and when his new band came out and began to play spectacular, even majestic, rock & roll, management's strategy for the evening became clear: Elevate the erratic and unstable punkiness of the centerpiece into punchy, swaggering grandeur by using the best arrangements, sound and musicians that money could buy; the trimmings, particularly guitarists Dick Wagner and Steve Hunter, were awesome enough so that if Reed were merely competent, the concert would be a success.
I grew up listening to Frank Marino I think he is very underrated you never hear much about him I'm 56 years old and a new beginner I'm a veteran so taking lessons during that time would of been hard anyways Frank Marino was someone I use to listen to and was curious on your thought on him
Americanafest was held here in Nashville last week, and most of the big names in that genre showed up for a week of awards and performances in seemingly every venue in town. Among all of great artists, Gabe Lee stood out with daily (sometimes two each day) performances. Why? He's one of the best players and songwiters today. I'd be interested in your take on his talents!
Duane Allman. One of the best ever.
