Absolutely love this song from Eric.

While considerably shorter than Bowies from 94 and 95, this one is comparatively succinct.
Don't sleep on this one though, the focus from all four members of the band is visible.
The first 4-ish minutes feature a baroque style composition that alternates between melody and harmony with contrasting interludes and is mostly instrumental (other than the requisite David Bowie and UB40 shouts). With a fade in intro and a crescendo that falls off into silky improv jam centered around an Em->D chord progression.

Like most David bowie jams sections, it starts slow and builds to an tense peak with dissonant tension that releases to consonance and grows in intensity until the outro that feels like the finale of fireworks show.

Also sorry Mr. Tonic, sticking with a Bowie over a Gin :)

Michael, love the channel so much, it's really deepened my love for this instrument. On top of that you have show me some of the most amazing songs I've ever heard. Thank you. Now if i can return the favor, you should check out my man, Matt Andersen. From the east coast of Canada, and will eventually become a Canadian songwriting legend. His voice is incredible. This song is beautiful. Enjoy!
