Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers playing "You Wreck Me." Great dynamics...great breakdown...Campbell nails the lead. Good stuff. RIP Tom Petty.

James Hetfield - Outlaw Bit (Waylon Jennings Cover)

I've seen Chris Stapleton and Jon Pardi do Country covers of Metal songs, usually not the other way around. How did James make it metal?

Tower Of Power, one of the greatest horn sections and soul bands of all time, performing "You're Still A Young Man." Live at their 40th anniversary show...and they are just killing it. What a rhythm section too (Rocco Prestia and David Garibaldi)! This is how a proper soul ballad is meant to be. Goose bumps!

Crack The Sky playing "Lighten Up Mcgraw" live in 2008. This is such a good band, but it is tough to find good quality videos of them. Wish I could have seen them in the late 70's early 80's.

Perhaps the greatest live performance ever recorded, from one of the greatest singers to do it. Van Morrison - Troubadours - 6/18/1980 - Montreux (OFFICIAL).

As if the title alone shouldn't grab your interest. When it comes to Blues guitar, there's a reason why B.B.'s last name is KING because he is the KING of one note guitar crying blues, and then you throw John Mayer into the mix, and you know this is going to be great!!!!!!!! And GREAT it is INDEED!!!!!!!

For context...here is the original version of "Wake Me Up" by Elvis Costello with the Roots. The album version is just delicious. In fact the entire "Wise Up Ghost" is great...one of Costello's best albums.

This is Elvis Costello (w/Alan Toussaint) playing an altered version of his song "Wake Me Up." The original version is on Elvis' album "Wise Up Ghost" with the Roots. Love both versions.

Jim Croce at his best.

Since we're on a VooDoo Child run.... Check out Zakk Wylde with the Les Paul Trio. It's Great because Nicki on bass, clearly cut some teeth on this. Lou on rhythm, the man of a hundred Chords ... as this goes on, HE'S getting exhausted! I grew up in the metal world and transitioned to blues/rock. Cool seeing a metal take on an amazingly influential song to a lot of people! (for real, watch Lou at the beginning, middle and end... he's like WTF IS HAPPENING HERE!) Not to mention Zakk is going this on an acoustic ... with a soundhole pick up ?!?!?!? WHAT?!??! Not sure how he eliminated all the resonance, but ... have a listen! Michael, if you choose to take the challenge, get some bandaids for your fingers, haha!

A song that I am currently learning and love so much. I want more people to not only see this work of art but maybe get inspired by it. It's giving me a new lens. ( update can you break down not just the music theory but maybe just help us understand how to reach this style of music)

Dear Michael,
While I would love for you to do a reaction video to this, I would also just be happy if you watched it because I think you would enjoy it so much!
Jimmy Barnes and Diesel (Mark Lizotte) are two Australian music legends and in this video they cover an old classic, 'Since I Fell for You'. Soul is pouring out of this through both the vocals and the guitar and it's a clip that I've continually come back to for years and get goosebumps every time I watch it. Diesel is, in my opinion, one of the best Australian guitarists and Jimmy is one of our greatest singers.
I hope you enjoy it!
