I started playing guitar in middle school and took lessons for a few years. Through high school I taught myself pretty much every Dave Matthews Band song on a Taylor 410-ce that I got for my 16th birthday. I never really progressed past that level. Now at 40, I've returned to guitar and am focusing on electric. My musical interests vary quite a bit from TOOL to Explosions in The Sky to Cory Wong to DMB (of course). When I'm not playing guitar I teach science and hang out with my wife and two young kids. Also, I really like running.
