A really tight type 2 jam from Phish's recent Atlantic City run. This was my 19th show and I finally got my buddy to his 1st with after months of nagging. He's a big pop-punk/indie guy and I want to get him excited to learn how to improv so I can have a jam partner. This is the jam that "got him" and I'd love if you could break it down for us. Thanks Mike!

Biography
In a school dominated by hip-hop, I was one of the only kids who predominantly listened to conventional music. I love hip-hop too, don't get me wrong- but during study hall, all that was playing through my headphones was Green Day, Misfits, Cake, Nirvana, Strokes, etc.
I was always a bedroom guitarist. I could play power chords and simple riffs but I never really went beyond that. That is until one year I was dragged to a Phish show. 12/31/18 to be exact.
Then I immediately wanted to play like Trey. And I found out that it is NOT EASY to play like Trey. I learned bluegrass, jazz, the blues, scales, modes, you NAME it.
So I ended up here because Mike unlocked those phishy secrets for me and got me closer to my goal.
