Hi Michael and the GG community. I did a search on the site and didn't see any Cobi. I first heard him as a vocalist singing for Above and Beyond, the British EDM trio, during their live acoustic/orchestral performance in 2014. He had such a soulful voice, it was hard to forget. Seeking some musical inspiration, I searched him up recently and discovered his solo work. I found the soulful voice again accompanied by bluesy guitar (almost always on an acoustic-electric), a little looping here and there, creative guitar/vocal harmonies, the list goes on. To my ear, he channels Jeff Buckley and more. Sharing with the community and hoping to hear your thoughts.

Biography
A guitar has always inhabited my life. From the dusty, broken down guitar left by my uncle in my grandparents garage to my current instrument, I have always been drawn to them. What a great site to learn more about guitar... hopefully, a little bit each day.

Hi Michael and the Guitar Gate community, hope you enjoy this one by Yvette Young (also in the band Covet). As I a beginning guitarist, there is a complex treasure trove of techniques to emulate and I am pretty certain it is in standard tuning. The melody is lovely and the lyrics highlight a lifetime of human experience... growing, loving and dying. It has 2 parts, so stopping before the 2nd part at 19:28, gives you a good feel for the whole thing in about 5 minutes. Hi Michael and everyone else that makes up GuitarGate,
This community has been very important to me, for reasons to numerous to mention. But, this is one. Anytime I want it or need it, I can click a link and reliably know that someone else out there listens, feels and maybe plays the way I do. I wanted to refill the well, since I dip so frequently. I need to recheck the rules, but I hope my video is admissable.
A very special person in my life introduced me to this now International super star from Iceland. I love most everything he does. His delicate voice rides through vocal harmonies in this "Folktronic" track strictly on guitar. The lyrics, in translation, become even more resonant. I have often listened to this song as an apology or a dedication of one man, woman or lover to another. I would really enjoy sharing this music with you and everyone.
