Bonjour Michael!
First off thank you so much for your amazing content and lessons! Guitar gate has been an amazing resource and refuge for me since I have signed up, and your guitar react videos brought me back to the instrument with such intensity that I look forward to each time I can pick up my guitar and try to play along to the react videos!
My submission is of the great Keith Murphy, an amazingly talented storyteller and player in his own right who shines a light on the amazing Québécois/Celtic influences that can be felt is his playfully witty song about young love in “Go From My Window” which begins around the 11:10 minute mark. While his whole performance is fun to watch and leaves you smiling, this song has always been a standout in his ability to blend percussive strumming techniques in the Celtic style with his ‘ear-worm’ melodies.
I bring up Country Music because while most country musicians are associated with being from the Southern United States, the true origin of the classic country song with an attention grabbing story stems from the Celtic (Scotch/Irish) traditions, which is in full swing up here in New England and the Eastern Provinces of Canada and the Maritimes regions. So enjoy this taste of fun story telling with a melody that’ll be stuck in your head for a long time!
Merci!
Nick
