This is how you build up a song to a big finish. Made famous by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young but written and first recorded by Joni Mitchell.

Saw this show last night and they were amazing. This was my favorite jam of the night but they were all good.

Hard to believe these guys are contemporaries of the Beatles and they still rock this hard (granted this was 6 years ago, but still). Just epic showmanship and chops.

I made a loop of I IV V to improvise with the full major scale. I didn't travel the full neck as much as I would have liked, but I'm happy with how this turned out. It's interesting that the scale has a latin feel to it at times.

I created a little C major I IV riff with a change to vi V VI and soloed over it -- seemed like a good progression to improvise over. I hit a couple of bad notes, but overall I'm happy with the progress I'm making.

Amazing live cover of Led Zeppelin's Whole Lotta Love by Prince in 2002. Come on Michael, you need to react to Prince at some point.

Trying to do some lead improvisation over the jam track. Like some others have complained, I suffer a bit from a lack of a licks vocabulary and feel like I'm just noodling on the pentatonic scale. I'm definitely starting to have a better grasp of the patterns and being able to switch between them smoothly, but it still sounds stilted to me and not "in the pocket". I'm sure I'll get there with more practice.

My first practice video. Just trying this out with my phone. I just did a quick take, so it's not that great, but wanted to see how well it would work.

Delicious cover of Al Green's "I'm a Ram" by my favorite 1990s guitarist, the underrated Ian Moore.

My favorite song, performed flawlessly. Maybe a little long for a reaction, but really gets going 8 minutes in.
