I'm a big bluegrass fan and came across this video from David Hoffman - he made a documentary of Earl Scruggs back in the early '70s and this is some footage of what was recorded while traveling around NC with Earl, recorded outside of the Morris brothers' auto body shop. The song starts around 3:25 in, but I recommend watching the beginning too for some of the background. Just a cool video.

This is an older video, but Parker is a great artist. My wife and I wandered into a show of his in Charlotte, NC about 10 years ago, paid $10 for tickets, and were blown away. We've seen him 3 times since (once in Richmond and twice in DC with his full band). He's a great lyricist, and has some guitar chops to go with it.

I love all of The Main Squeeze's covers, but I think this is by far my favorite. This is one of those groups where every person is an incredible artist on their own and create something even better when they play together.

I recently found John R Miller through a Tyler Childers playlist and instantly had to check out the rest of his stuff. He's a great story teller from and really gives off a John Prime/Townes Van Zandt vibe to me.

Big fan of this guy. His pedal steel player is on the slide this time around for that extra haunting bluesy sound. Enjoy!

Michael -
I know you're a fan of the Punch Brothers and was wondering if you had checked out their latest record 'Hell on Church Street'. It is a tribute to Tony Rice's 'Church Street Blues' album with their take on a lot of the same songs, as well as a few additional. I've seen you do a few bluegrass song reactions but haven't seen any fiddle tunes, so I figured I'd send this your way. Awesome musicianship all around as always, but Critter absolutely tears up his guitar in this one.
Enjoy!!

Unorthodox slide style, but AJ is phenomenal. The son of 'Sacred Steel' slide legend Aubrey Ghent.

I know there'd been a lot of well-deserved hype in the bluegrass and jam-band worlds with Billy Strings lately, so I wanted to pass this along as well. The Dusters, are tied with Billy for my favorite bands in the jamgrass scene. My main instrument is the dobro, and Andy Hall is a master up there with Jerry Douglas, Rob Ickes, Mike Auldridge, Phil Ledbetter, Josh Swift, etc.
