Love watching this group play off of each other. They are cranking out videos right now and all of them are worth watching but I keep playing this one over and over. Love the discussion at the end. How awesome is it that young musicians like this are collaborating and working on great classic tunes like this one?

Everything Tommy plays looks absolutely effortless. I could watch this on repeat all day. And, as an added bonus, our three month old smiles in his sleep as soon as the song starts at 1:08.

So good to get back to a big show like this! Nothing complicated, but God was it fun. Amazing what can happen in a year's time. And... Billy Joe is a hell of a frontman.

Is there anyone cooler in the last 25 years than Dave Grohl?

I think most people think of Bob Dylan as the folk songwriter of the 60s - he certainly was that. However, this footage from the Rolling Thunder Review in 1975 shows him in a whole new light. Here, he has a stronger stage presence and the move from acoustic to electric only drives it further. He and Springsteen may just be the reasons I own a Tele. If you haven't seen this, you have to check it out. Do it for Bob as he turns 80!

Is there anything more peaceful than the sound of these three? And time has only made their sound more authentic. God, I love this group.

I listened to SO MUCH Porcupine Tree in college. This is a longer video, but worth the time. What an awesome group. Sure feels like the prog scene has slowed quite a bit in the last few years but this stuff still gets me. Love this band.

I've always loved the original version of this song. But I think hearing Satriani play it acoustic adds a whole new level of feel and dimension (that doesn't come from a pedal or an effect). You mentioned in your Dave and Tim video that you were more of a shredder back in the day and your reactions show you have a strong appreciation for acoustic artists today. I'd be interested in hearing your take on a shredder playing stripped down as he does here.

Always blows my mind how they can play this stuff day in and day out and never seem to miss a note. I don't listen to them as often as I used to but I sure do love some Dream Theater from time to time.

I found this video when I was in college and have gone back to it time and time again. They just rip into this thing. I have never seen anything like it. #nodrugswereharmedinthemakingofthisvideo.

Hey Michael, Warren Hayne's rendition of this song is one of the first things I heard that forced me to slow down and listen to the details. It's simple in so many ways, but when WH covers a tune, he makes it all his own. It's awesome to see someone who has so many skills on the electric take it down and unplug.

It just seems so effortless. I can't imagine how many hours it takes to get to the place that both of these players are in.

This is my first video so it took some learning (& I'll work on the video quality and maybe a better location in the house). I found this site after years of playing but not knowing much and then getting lost in the REACT videos on Youtube. Watching Michael break down Tommy Emmanuel's version of Classical Gas sealed the deal. There's too much knowledge to not hear what you have to offer. Can't wait for more.

Just tears it up. A bit long... But worth every second. This and the Tommy Emmanuel video are the most impressive acoustic guitar demonstrations I know of. I think if Chet would have seen Bonamassa do this... we'd have another "certified" player on our hands.
