Just saw this...
One of the most exciting new bands! Guitar, songwriting, and emotion what more could you want!?
Came across this during a rabbit-hole-scroll.
This is such an amazing song by a super talented lead guitarist and singer. One of the most exciting bands to hear, my favorite album since Radiohead's In Rainbows. We have a paucity of female shredders represented on Michael's song analyses and I would love to hear what he thinks of this.
Michael,
I’ve been playing guitar for years but never really dedicated myself take it seriously. Watching your reaction videos has changed that and I thank you for it. I signed up for Guitargate last week and I pick up my guitar every time I sit down now. I thank you for that.
Anyway, this is an old DBT tune that Jason and the boys performed on his Live From Alabama album. This performance is brilliant. The horns add a layer of warmth and tension to the song and the solo is incredible.
Thanks again and I hope to see your reaction.
I’ve been
Thought I'd share what I sound like when I'm more in my element (playing things I've rehearsed). Here's me having some fun with "Europa" by Santana.
I see a few others have requested this band, but I can't recall you ever reacting to them. They have become one of my favorite bands over the past few years. A lot of people say they are Australia's version of Tool, and while I sort of agree, they definitely have their own thing going on. I don't know if you'll remember me harassing you about reacting to Punch Brothers, but this band has a couple of songs that I could easily see Punch Brothers doing a stripped down version of. They are incredible and worth a listen!
Just wanted to introduce you to the naysh. American Motor Sports was my favorite album of the year and this was a bonus track off the deluxe version.
This band, along with Mk.Gee, are the most inspiring and exciting artists I've found over the past few years. Wunderhorse has it all. Songwriting, great riffs, and a passion for the music. What more would you want!
Single instrumental rendition. Amazing fingerstyle guitarist playing a classic. Enjoy.
