Basically I've been dragging one or two guitars around with me for the last 50 or so years and have never manage to learn how to play... No "formal" lessons, just "do it yourself" books and CD's. The last year or so, a lady I met on Facebook from my home town keeps encouraging me to get them down off the wall. She's quite the guitarist and wants me to succeed at it.
I have a lot of hobbies and chores so it's easy for me to get off track. I could drive 20 miles once a week for a half hour lesson, but I figure I'd just stop after the second lesson. Guitar Gate seems like the better way for me... I'll stay subscribed, and if I drop off for a week or two, I can come back to where I was and not feel guilty.
