I know I post a lot of Dead/Garcia, BUT... here's yet another. No video. Listen from 11:18-22:42. Great guitar solos. I'd love to hear your reaction. Enjoy!

Video, unfortunately, isn't available for this show, but here's imo, the best, or at least one of the best Weather Report Suite(s) the Dead ever played. It's kind of fallen under the radar because of the reputation of the more widely known Louisville, Ky show from the same tour. (Sound quality and availability has a lot to do with it I believe) It was part of my 'Original 6' tapes. The sound isn't the best, but good enough to feel. I'd love to hear a reaction of the Let It Grow portion, which starts at 6:09. Jerry's solos are incredible like most from that year. This one just stands out to me.

Just listen to the first song. Cory commands the band and does his jam while telling jokes and has the band jump around whole telling a story. This is right up your alley you'll absolutely lose your mind on this!

It’s time. You gotta do some Isbell. Hard for me to pick one because they are all great, but this version of Live Oak is tasty. Some great imagery here.

REACTED TO
Reaction Video

The most powerful, haunting, emotional music performance I've witnessed.

There's a reason this one was the first from the vault. This is the obvious mid-point of the Dead's career after the brief break in 74 after Mickey's dad robbed the band. This is 1 of 4 performances in '75 when they started to incorporate real jazz into the music. I don't mean just improvisation- that was always there.
This is as tight and as well played as the boys ever got. Masterful performance. I'd love to see you react to this one Mike. You'll love it! I see another Help>Slip>Franklin's posted which is great, too. IMO this is simply "The One". The standard.

A couple of Bobby songs that I've always been drawn to..... I'd love to see a reaction video with some analysis...Thanks

My all time favorite is King Solomon's Marbles from the Dead's One From The Vault. It's tight and spot on. It's a great lesson for odd time signatures, being in 7/8. That whole album is great.

3,000+ shows, never repeated a setlist once, and this is the consensus best 4.5 min of Jerry Garcia soloing in Dead history. Would be cool to see it worked out as a reaction video. Otherwise, just enjoy :-)

Memorizing. Been playing guitar passively for a few years and after some of your Dead/Phish reactions I pulled the trigger and subscribed to your channel. After just a few lessons Ive learned more than I have in years. Still lots of to learn and some guitar players just have me in complete awe while I watch them, Mateus being one of them. Would love to watch a reaction to this great player.

Singer songwriter Bob Schneider - Labour of Love Fest at Nutty Brown 8.30.08.

This guy deserves more fame, IMHO. Great songwriter, huge catalog. All over the place genre-wise.

Michael, this is a band from your area in Baltimore. Just thought you might want to give them a listen. They have a great driving acoustic sound. I believe his band is called Sean K.Preston and the loaded Pistols.

John Mayer always seems to put together some of the most creative rhythms I’ve heard. Neon being one of them. Also check out his take on Crossroads. Another example of great technical ability with a sense of feeling.
