Gotta love some murder story country. Some decent solo performance from Dylan. Guitar isn't anything crazy special but I love good story telling country music.

Michael! Had the opportunity to see these guys in concert last week at a small venue much like this. It was unreal. The quality of the music combined with the chill factor from these four is not to be believed (Mark even signed my pick after the show). I'm sure you've reacted to Mark Lettieri before, but I urge you to give it another go. These guys are great!

This song epitomizes the impact we each have on the people around us, how those people pull us through dark times, and the legacy we leave behind when we're no longer here.

Everything Matt does leaves me wanting more, this was the first song that got me hooked!

I just love this live rendition of the song and while it's 7 mins of the same, the meaning behind the trapeze metaphor is just so good it's been making me cry for weeks now. Would love your take on this on Michael!

Hozier is a must-see when it comes to fingerpicking and rhythm. There are so many videos to choose from, but this is a personal favourite purely for his dexterity and how much fun he's clearly having as he plays. It's classic blues, and I'd love to see you break it down.

One of my favorite pieces of music. One day, just before I move onto glory, I hope this song is playing in the background.
Also, guess who wrote this song. Hint, he recently had an interview with Rick Beato.

This one will pull on your heart strings.

This group has rewired my musical brain more than anything in the last few yearsβ€”I'm obsessed with the sounds they make from what feels like FAIRLY simple constructions. I'd love a deep dive into the way Orcutt writes these interlocking lines.

Hi Michael, lifetime member here and I can't say enough how much watching your Youtube videos has inspired me. Need to really dig in to the courses, but ya know... life happens. In this video, while not guitar dominated, I think is filled with musical genius. Besides knowing a technical approach to what Cory is playing, I'm really interested in what you might be able to extract in terms of how Cory composes or approaches writing a song? What are some major theory principles that seem to arch over all of Cory's music? If you had to nail "In the style of Cory Wong", what does that mean to you? Funk strumming and dyad runs?

Saw your react video of Little Blue and Jacob's 5 string guitar. This is a pretty long video, but here Jacob does a deep dive with Paul Davids into the origins and reasons for the 5 string he had Taylor make for him. Plus another wicked 5 string electric that looks like it weighs maybe 9oz. Thought you'd find it super interesting. I know I did. Favorite quote, "plus, look how many fingers I have!"

My favorite current Outlaw Country Artist. I think I joined Guitar Gate just for this! Not really but it was the first thing I wanted to do.

A wonderful exploration of musical theory from Radiohead, exhibiting multiple time signatures and utilising both piano and guitar throughout, it's one of Radiohead's most under-rated songs and would give you a chance to get your chops right into musical theory that isn't only about the tone and chords, although they are still integral to the heart of the song

Spotify recommended Katie Pruitt to me the other day and I've listened to her album "Expecations" front to back 10 or 12 times since. The songwriting is amazing - great chords/progressions, awesome lyrics, excellent fingerstyle/blues guitar playing. I've linked one of her "less popular" songs, but I think it's one of the best examples of her songwriting. I highly recommend going down the rabbit hole - it's been a while since I've found an album that I've enjoyed this much.

I know you are a sucker for storytelling and this is a great one. These guys will be huge one day

Been watching this kid for years. He's truly something special. You're welcome.

In light of your recent Petrucci video, I’ll try to request this one again. It is a must do for a reaction video. No timestamp needed

Hi Mikey. Been a subscriber for a while and I've seen your Radiohead reactions. I'm amazed there isn't a mass movement in your comments to show you Paranoid Android. It's one of the most insane (in a good way) songs I've ever heard. There is at least three mid-song genre/tempo changes, ridiculous chord progressions and, best of all, it's a blast to watch live. I'd love to see what you make of it, or even just see your face with each left turn.

Michael, I stumbled on this guy watching a YouTube Reel, and had to search out the whole track. Please consider giving it a listen, on or off the channel. Cheers!

Went and saw Dogs in a Pile for the first time. Most of their stuff is very jam band, but this song stood out to me. Check out the rest of the set and you'll see what I mean.

So Phillip Henry is an incredible English slide player. So it would make sense to share some of his slide playing. But actually, when it comes to sheer joy of music, this is really unmissable. Phillip gets some amazing sounds and rhythms while covering a Sonny Terry classic.

First time I ever hear that band. I think their performance is magical. They are funny, refreshing, raw and strong.

I already posted this once but it got swept over by all the other awesome requests. But I mean, if you don’t know Martin Miller and his session band.. thank me later :D
