This song was written by a friend of mine, Tom Prasada-Rao. Several hundred artists have covered it in the last not-quite-a-year. It was the first time I ever worked out anything with my looper. I got a bit choked up at the end - this was recorded on June 10, so it was all very fresh and upsetting. I almost re-recorded it, but decided to just leave it as is. *The chords that I list in the description of the video are the original chords. I transposed it for my voice to be in the key of G.

Michael,
You know who Marcus King is... this is unreal.
Michael, if you didn't see this yet, you're welcome. Such a great mix of styles here with melodic hooks and catchy phrasing. You've never seen Claudio Sanchez of Coheed in this laid back manner, just him and his acoustic in his house. This is pure art and im sure your members would love to get a react video on this! Thanks for the doing the awesome Tuesday live streams, you got a knack for it! Always chase those thirds!
Take care

"A song about the trials of coal miners performed by Logan Halstead in Boone County, West Virginia." Incredible, soulful message by such a talented artist.
Itβs crazy that it took the son for me to appreciate the Dad.
