Michael, it is time. Now I know this song is done originally in open tuning on a 5 string, but Keef (and Ron) deserves a breakdown... (also worth asking what Charlie listens to while the band is playing? for all the energy that the stones bring to a live performance, Charlie is completely unfazed by all of it. I'm convinced he is listening to NPR or a murder investigation podcast while he sits at the helm) According to Keith in "Life" as best I can remember, he wrote this song (heavily sedated) in London while his girlfriend was filming something with Mick Jagger and a thunderstorm was building in the city... If you, or any of your followers or students, have not read "Life" I cannot recommend it enough. Keith does a wonderful job telling his story, the bands story, and even breaking some aspects of his style down musically, as well as opening a lot of doors into artists that inspired him. In fact, its time to give this book another read myself.

A relatively small band that needs all our attention and respect for their live show, unique compositions, and musicianship. With a lead singer that your cant stop watching a dynamite rhythm section and an awesome guitar slinger these guys should be much larger than they are. I'd love to hear you break down the composition and hear your thoughts on their style.

keep stacking wins.

SOULIVE cover of Lizzy with guests John Scofield & Marcus King. This tune has it all. Dickey Betts would be proud.
