Hey Michael,
My name is Brogan and I have been watching you videos for a few years now. Firstly, I need to thank you (and Little Tommy Bukovav) for inspiring me more than any teacher Iโve had or Youtuber Iโve ever seen. You truly have reigniting a yearning in my soul to discover and decode the things in music that make me feel that feeling that nothing else can. I had lost myself to an awful addiction for years and during that time, although I was playing, I had not felt the love, sense of wonder, and desire to discover and progress that I had when I was a young boy learning to play. Around the time I discovered you, I finally was able to overcome my pride and ego and ask for help. By the grace of God I got sober and now have an absolutely blessed life. I owe a great deal to my loving family as well as you, Michael, for reminding me that I have so much still to learn and accomplish in this life as well as giving me the inspiration I needed to get to work! I apologize for the length of my message, but it is something Iโve wanted to tell you for quite some time. So, thank you for all youโve revealed to me, as well as everything you will in the future. You are truly exceptional at gifting your passion, love, and talent. Anyway, enough of that. Letโs talk guitar! I donโt believe Iโve seen you do a video of Blake Mills, which is exciting for me because maybe I can be the one to introduce yโall! Heโs one of the most absolutely jaw dropping players Iโve ever heard with a tone that will haunt your dreams. This version of โIf Iโm Unworthyโ really showcases his incredible skill both vocally and musically. A low down, gritty, dynamic re-imagination of a classic blues tune, 44 Blues. Strap up, turn it up, and enjoy!!
I just watched this and I was blown away. Jubu is a master. Would love you hear your reaction!
Mellencamp live. One of my favorite songs of his. The lyrics take me back to being 16 and my first girlfriend.
Dawes is one of my favorite bands. This is a great recent performance of a song off an earlier album. I think it shows what you can do with a simple chord progression and a melodic solo (combined with great vocals and storytelling)
