Hey! I subscribed because I ran into one of your reaction videos and literally spent like 5 hours watching them! I have no idea what your talking about when you talk about theory and thatβs what Iβve come to learn more about, I want to be about to just listen to any song and improvise and or write originals. The way you break down not only the lyrics but the theory part of the music makes me want to learn more and more! I love your reactions videos and Iβm still always watching them! I seen you really liked divebombs so in the live performance Synyter Gates has a nasty one at the end of the solo!! And also I want to see how you break down this performance! Thanks for encouraging me to get into the MINDSET to learn the instrument and not be just your everyday chord strummer! Nothing wrong with that but I want to know more!! Also the performance ends right at the 5:55 mark! Thank you again!

Don Felder teaches how he wrote all of the parts to Hotel California. He explains (not so well, lol) chord tone soloing.
Michael, thank you for helping me along in my guitar journey, especially with learning how to play more melodic leads. On that note, I'd love to get your thoughts and some tips on the beautiful solos in this video featuring John Prine's long-time guitar player, Jason Wilber. I've always appreciated Jason's subtle, tasteful accompaniment to John's great songs, but occasionally, as in this video, we get to hear him let loose. How does he turn those relatively simple vocal melodies into such beautiful guitar solos? Thank you again for creating this community and making us all better musicians!
Michael! I know you're a fan of uncle Larry. Recently found him on youtube and have since been binging every one of his videos. This video showcases how ridiculously good Tom is at playing and composing, just hits right in the feels. Regards from The Netherlands!
My favorite John Mayer live performance, perhaps ever. The audio quality is the cherry on top here. The rest of the sundae is nothing but some of the best dynamics I've ever heard. The guitar starts to melt away and then there's nothing but John's emotions left coming out of the sound system. And there's at least 4 minutes of soloing at that. Even a point where his fingers clearly cramp up (6:08) and he turns the mistake into a wonderful and repeated rhythmic interruption to the solo that he's never utilized in any other live show. I would LOVE to know if you all find this rendition as beautiful as I do. Personally I think John's playing here has assured his seat among the great legends.
