I love good story telling with guitar accompaniment and few tell a story as well as AnaΓ―s Mitchell. This is based upon a 16th Century folk tale. Mitchell she leaves out the back story of the Queen of the Fairies' enslavement of Tam Lin and that makes the lyrics more contemporary than would otherwise be. The guitar arrangement supports the song perfectly- finger style and plectrum mixed for counterpoint. A happy ending to a song sung in a minor key is a bit unusual and welcome. Enjoy.

Kevin Gilbert sadly passed at 29 - at the time, he was working on this Rock Opera, The Shaming of the True. Nick D'Virgilio and a host of other prog-rock talent collected the masters, added what was needed, and released it a few years later. This performance was a German ensemble called Virgilives and they did a phenomenal job recreating this labor of love. I *highly* recommend the entire thing - this is the second tune in. Johnny Virgil, prodigy, on the way to Hollywood to turn his magic into fame. I hope you dig.
Bobby Hebb's classic song with the great Ron Carter on bass. Amazing performance with no band to hide behind.
The Black Crowes in their PRIME. Growing up in the same town (Marietta, GA) as the Black Crowes and seeing them in small local venues as their popularity grew was.
The 1992 High as the Moon tour was outstanding and this is probably THE standout live version of their hit song Remedy.
Part Rolling Stones, Part Led Zeppelin, and all Southern Rock.
