This is a pretty sad song and lyrically it is right on the nose. For anyone who has dealt with or lost family or friends to addiction, it really hits hard but for some reason helps me remember the good qualities of loved ones I've lost to the bad stuff.

Musically it's pretty simple (Cadd9, Em7-ish), but lots of layers with 3 guitars, drums, and percussion.

I haven't seen any Dermot Kennedy on here so I wanted to share.

I mean what more can i say, what a song writer.

Hey Michael, I know you're a big fan of drummers and Vinnie is one of the best. And, of course, John is one of the best guitar players! Paired with incredible keys and bass, you really gotta check this out! So good, and who knew John was so good with the whammy bar!

KWS was my introduction to the blues. In 1998 I was getting a ride home from work with a friend of mine and he was listening to the "Ledbetter Heights" CD and I was totally in awe. I had heard nothing like it before in my life, which of course led me to check out the kings of the blues SRV, BB King, Buddy Guy, etc. I had the privilege to see KWS live twice when he opened for Van Halen in 1998 and he just blew the roof off the building both times. KWS is astounding, and here is a great display of just how astounding the man really is.

This concert/DVD was my introduction to The Allman Brothers Band. I was absolutely blown away by the way Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks played guitar back then. And frankly, I still am...
