Hi Michael, love your channel! I'm a recovering alcoholic, 5 years sober, and guitar has been such an anchor in my sobriety. I love that you touch on the subject and share your own experiences along with the music lessons.
I'm in my late 40's now and have been playing since I was in my early 20s. I really love all genres of music, but if I had to pick an all time favorite from a song writing viewpoint it would be this great Iron and Wine song. Would love your take on it!

HI Michael, lifetime member here. I know you prefer live versions, but I picked this version because it shows his fingerings more and it is the most viewed. I picked this song because this is one of the few songs he actually wrote in standard tuning (although it is a baritone guitar so B standard instead of E standard). He has said the theory being writing this song was figuring out how to connect all his favorite chords so I would love for you to take a stab at this beautiful piece of work. Andy Mckee is the man! This is one of my all-time favorite live performances! Such a good song that doesn't get enough credit if you ask me. It has amazing lyrics that really that resonate today, dueling guitar solos, and Tom Morello doing what he does best! Nuff Said!
