This one pushed all of my buttons. The pure joy that is expressed in this piece is mesmerizing. I know Sierra Hull was just featured, but this was one of the few times where even though I went to put this on "in the background" my whole world stopped for nine and a half minutes. The combo of funk, jazz and bluegrass fully captivated me. The totally nasty bass solo in the middle is something to behold. The control of the band, the way they flow in and out of required parts live. Pros all around!

Boring name, brilliant playing! I fear that a lot of the excellent British acoustic players have been thus far overlooked Michael - Richard Thompson, John Martyn, Davey Graham, Bert Jansch and so forth. In that lineage, here's the brilliant John Smith playing the aching "Hares on the Mountain", a folk song supposedly from my home county of Somerset. I say supposedly because while we definitely have hares, we definitely don't have mountains.

Billy Gibbons... I mean if the guitarist earned respect and praise from Jimi Hendrix, I'd say that makes him worth listening to. πŸ˜€ Anyway I love how down and dirty he gets with his licks in this one.
