This guy has an incredible technique playing fretless guitar. He definitely mastered sliding and microtonal embellishments. It is different than what you typically cover on your channel, but I truly think the community needs to hear him play.

Davy has got one of the best soulful voices for the blues of all time in my opinion, like in his song here, Gotta Leave. Plus, he just up and completely shreds on his telecaster towards the end! Gotta stay, and check this one out, incredible live performance! Thanks Michael!! Cheers!
I'm not sure these two are human! Incredible improvising over a well known song...fun to hear how they just barely hold onto the melody so you know it is there. Got the pleasure of seeing both of these guys separately this year, would have loved to be at this particular show!
Hey Mike! I know you get a ton of really cool and interesting bands sent your way, but have you heard of King Buffalo?
You know those bands that are greater than the sum of their parts? You know those bands that always push themselves with each album? You know those bands that are always working hard touring and recording? King Buffalo is all of the above. I discovered them a few years ago and they quickly became my favorite band. This song is from one of their first albums, with several more released since. Their latest, Regenerator, is definitely worth the listen if you get the time (its part 3/3 of the quarantine trilogy).
I love everything about this 3-piece band. The drums are groovy and sharp, always solid. The bass is indescribably groovy - easily one of the best bass players i've ever heard. The guitar is simple but elegant, and what a tone. As they've progressed, they've really leaned into their strengths as a band and the sound is infectiously beautiful. I really think they deserve more recognition. Please, don't sleep on King Buffalo!
[Intro is a bit long on this one - skip to around 1:30 to chop it off if you want --- and at around 4:35 you'll see the best drum trick ever]
~Jesse
PS - Thanks again! You've built a tremendous resource and i appreciate all the hard work that went into creating it!
Groovy, heavy and funk????? What??
Insane release. Amazing band.
