Hey Mike! I know you get a ton of really cool and interesting bands sent your way, but have you heard of King Buffalo?

You know those bands that are greater than the sum of their parts? You know those bands that always push themselves with each album? You know those bands that are always working hard touring and recording? King Buffalo is all of the above. I discovered them a few years ago and they quickly became my favorite band. This song is from one of their first albums, with several more released since. Their latest, Regenerator, is definitely worth the listen if you get the time (its part 3/3 of the quarantine trilogy).

I love everything about this 3-piece band. The drums are groovy and sharp, always solid. The bass is indescribably groovy - easily one of the best bass players i've ever heard. The guitar is simple but elegant, and what a tone. As they've progressed, they've really leaned into their strengths as a band and the sound is infectiously beautiful. I really think they deserve more recognition. Please, don't sleep on King Buffalo!

[Intro is a bit long on this one - skip to around 1:30 to chop it off if you want --- and at around 4:35 you'll see the best drum trick ever]

~Jesse

PS - Thanks again! You've built a tremendous resource and i appreciate all the hard work that went into creating it!

Mikey, you've got to give Radiohead a listen. I was a latecomer to this band but now can't get enough of them. Their harmonies, composition and musicianship is just mind blowing. The entire "From the Basement" set is epic, but I just love the emotion and simplicity of this song. Enjoy the journey, brother, and thank you for all that you do.

Love watching this group play off of each other. They are cranking out videos right now and all of them are worth watching but I keep playing this one over and over. Love the discussion at the end. How awesome is it that young musicians like this are collaborating and working on great classic tunes like this one?

Happy 2023 Micheal! I have been a member for a few months now and already discovered some amazing new artists (a nice side benefit to you courses which are helping a lot. I know you have done some Josh Turner / Carson McKee reacts but have not seen any of there compatriots Reina Del Cid / Toni Lindgren. Reina’s vocal tone is mesmerizing and Toni is an fine guitarist. Here are all four of them covering Blackwater ( in what looks like an Airstream) killer version. Thanks for all you do and love your site! Neil Ashton
